Conner Prairie, located in Fishers, Indiana, is a recreated 19th-century village spread across 200 acres. This interactive history park offers a glimpse into the past of Indiana through engaging exhibits and activities. Established in 1934 by Eli Lilly, the park showcases the evolution of Fishers from a town to a city in 2015.

Conner Prairie is a fun, unique adventure that you really don't get anywhere else nearby. We got a membership this year, so tried out the Christmas village for the first time. For the member price, it was a good value and certainly a nice NEW thing the kids hadn't done before. I can't say it'll be an annual tradition, but it had some nice things they enjoyed. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was hoping for more interaction with imagining how Christmas was and traditions they'd be doing during that period, but there wasn't much of that... but maybe I didn't ask the right questions. In one house, we got that he was in town visiting his sister & he did a little sing along for 1 song, and in another house a couple that had recently moved to the area and bought some property & his brother was settled in Indy.. but not much describing Christmas or plans or traditions. It was also REALLY busy the night we went, so I'm sure a less crowded evening would've helped some as well. The lights on the bridge were cool and the projection story on the Connor house was enjoyed as well. During the summer months, we enjoy our trips with our family and also often school field trips to the Prairie. Lots of areas the kids enjoy, though definitely a much better experience when you go on days when there is a lot of staff interacting in the houses and shops.

A little away from main indianapolis city, it's a farm land with its own historic importance. They tried to maintain this place as if time clocked 200 years backwards in Indiana. But overall not a very-well managed one, and too hot out in summers. I don't think you'll miss anything if you skip this in your visit to Indianapolis. All in all a dry, undecorated place with rough farm land mostly. Balloon ride will cost you $15 to $18 extra on top of your entry ticket. Cafe is overpriced considering the location. Even very basic plain patty burger will cost about $12 while you sit out in summer. Children play areas are pretty good (specially the air conditioned indoor one), and small children will surely enjoy it a lot. If you're visiting Indianapolis, consider taking Indy Pass. They cover 8 places in their $48 day pass, and Conner Prairie is one of them. It's a good deal if you know how to best utilize it.

Out of many options in the area, we traveled from Wisconsin and decided to attend Conner Prairie’s festival to watch the total solar eclipse. Our group is in agreement that we could not have made a better decision. The event was extremely well organized. I was worried about traffic and parking for such a highly anticipated event, but we didn’t wait in a single line to enter or exit the event and there were several friendly parking attendants instructing us where to go. Every staff member and volunteer from Conner Prairie we interacted with, from the ticket booth to the merch stand to concessions, were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. We arrived at about 10:30am so had to wait several hours for the eclipse but we weren’t bored a minute! The live music and entertainment schedule was great. We appreciated the variety of food trucks and concessions that gave us plenty of options and helped keep lines short and quick. Bathrooms were clean and plentiful! This was an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives, and I can’t imagine spending it in a better way. For an event that doesn’t come around very often, we were thoroughly IMPRESSED with how organized and smooth everything at Conner Prairie went – with a smile on everyone’s face! So thank you to everyone involved. I’m already trying to convince my group to come back for the hot air balloon festival in September.

This place is an absolute must visit, especially if you have kids. Conner Prairie is massive, with different settings and villages all built around providing a "living history" experience. As an adult, I found this place to be fascinating from a historical perspective, but my kids were the ones that really loved it. With a massive treehouse, lots of animals, buildings to explore, and indoor/outdoor play areas, they could easily spend an entire day here. I felt the reenactors did a great job of interacting with the kids as well. With the cost of tickets, I would recommend looking in to an annual pass if you plan on visiting more than once. They also have a military discount as well. We came here first thing on a Sunday morning and had the place to ourselves! Definitely try coming during an off-time to maximize the experience.

Sam Sachs — Google review

Conner Prairie is a good place to spend the weekend. There are lots of attractions and activities. Visit the museum and village. Experience corn maze. Get the feel of riding in a hot air balloon. General admission is expensive ($20/person) but kids and seniors get some discounts. We visited Conner Prairie for hot air balloon festival and it was really eventful. Novel experience to get up close with 12-15 huge hot air balloons. Lots of playing activities for kids. Surely nice place to come with family.

Went to Connor Prairie for headless horsem*n event and was pretty cool! We were unable to do the hayride as it was booked but made for an exciting fun evening. Everything is spread out so makes it nice to control the crowds. We did the haunted maze and listened to spooky stores. Will go back for other events as well.

Tiffany L — Google review

We've been coming here for the Symphony on the Prairie 4th of July celebration for a couple of years now. We pay a bit extra for a table(instead of just lawn seats) and the VIP parking. This allows easier in and out and an exclusive air-conditioned bathroom. It's worth every penny. We have an absolute blast every year. No doubt that we'll be back next year! 💙🤍❤️

Nicole Leonard — Google review

Did not know I was going to get the opportunity to fly in a hot air balloon!!! They have it attached so you’re not free flying around but still so cool! This was a wonderful experience walking around Connor prairie and doing the headless horseman ride! It’s not too scary and they have it all wonderfully decorated. The staff is all great and actors work hard to make your experience immersive! Highly recommend checking it out!

Ally Bright — Google review

We had a great day on our first visit to connor prairie. There was alot of people dressed up and telling you about how they would have lived. My son at 11 was bored by some stuff but loved the tree top area. I would highly recommend.

Mark Barnes — Google review

Boy, it sure has changed over the years. It's a great place for kids especially, with lots of interactive activities for them. Most of the houses and barns are open and the volunteers are available which is great. Sadly though, many of the buildings are showing signs of not being maintained (dry rot, wood boring insects, missing chinking on log buildings)

Such a great place to visit! The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. The hiking paths are beautiful and take you on such scenic routes. And, if you are able, the hot air balloon is an AWESOME experience!

Gretchen — Google review

Such a great experience. Only downside was we couldn’t ride in the hot air balloon. But that was because it was windy!Otherwise, we had fun! We loved how everyone stayed in character, it was great.

Becca — Google review

Loved this place. The people in costume stay in character no matter what, and are probably the most informative people we’ve ever had the pleasure of encountering in this type of environment. They had charm and personality. Such a joy. We’ll be back. If you haven’t been here, it’s time.Used the AAA discount to save $3 for 2 adults. Went around 3pm so didn’t have enough time to enjoy everything BUT there were no field trips.

Jen Garone — Google review

We brought my kids here for the first time (7, & 5) and I believe they were the perfect age! We spent 4 hours here and we still have so much to explore for the next time we go back. The kids loved hands on learning about history, and the actors/actresses kept them interested the whole time. I may have loved it even more than they did! I cannot wait to take them back. This is a place we can come back to and see new things we missed each time! Our kids truly learned a lot as well. On the car ride home we asked them questions from throughout the day, and they knew every answer. Awesome place! Well done!

Abigail Pals — Google review

This is a great place to go. Weither you're a child or adult. Learning about history. I like the headless horseman and a Merry prairie Christmas.

Angel — Google review

The first time we went here we ended up spending hours here because there was so much to do so we bought a pass and have been to every event Conner Prairie puts on from the sunflower garden, to the Halloween and Christmas event. There's so much for the kids to do, learn and interact with. Can't recommend this place enough.

Heather Singer — Google review

Careful in the "Commons" area. Watch out for animal feces in corners and in the open rafters overhead. There was a brown streak on the walls where they have some interactive displays for the kids. Broken picture frame was there for a week with metal protruding. Hope it's fixed.

Concerts & Shows

Outdoor concert venue brings in major tours & festivals of all popular musical stripes.

Pretty nice venue! Great for concerts.. Some seating is in actual seats under a pavilion, the rest are lawn seats. If you are in the lawn seats, expect large crowds and an overwhelming smell of marijuana. If you want a good spot with lawn seats you need to get there super early, as it is first come first server. As with any venue, the concession prices are absolutely outrageous.

Lucas — Google review

Has a BLAST at the Zac Brown Band concert! Love the blankets you could buy to sit on. Food and drink lines were reasonable. Security was strong and the show was awesome. We always love soaking up the sunset and music having a picnic in the grass seats.

Angela Fain — Google review

Dion... you are awesome, this man needs a raise!!!! Dion went above and beyond to make sure everyone was settled and happy. If you weren't happy, he took you around on his golf cart to find another spot that might fit your needs.I have to thank Ruoff Music Center and their workers for treating us like humans. We had been following Dead and Company for about a month, and you were the only venue that didn't have a nasty attitude or yell at us. A lot of us didn't agree with the parking arrangements but that didn't take away from the kindness shown to us by the workers. Indiana was my family's last stop on tour, and you really helped us end it on a good note.

Jessi Stilley — Google review

I went to a concert here for the first time. It is a very cool venue. It was nice being outside. My tickets were covered. It was utterly amazing. I definitely recommend the concerts here! They had many drink and food choices as well.

Colleen Renteria — Google review

I have been going to concerts here since it was Deer Creek! (It will always be Deer Creek to me!! ❤️) They have made beautiful additions over the years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I even got to work here for a couple of concert seasons. It was amazing!! Definitely arrive as early as possible, and just be patient!

Stacy Barker — Google review

Awesome experience, really nice setup. Went and seen Chris Stapleton with a party of 6 and it was amazing. Very packed when we went due to it being over capacity😂 26 thousand people attended. Would love to go here again.Drink selection is good but not cheap! 14 for a beer, shots are 16. More expensive selection of both if wanted. Plenty of bathrooms everywhere. Nachos and other snacks available aswell.Tip - don't show up too early, otherwise you'll be sitting in parking lot trying to get out for 45 minutes after. The people who showed up late were parked in the back so they got out first!Highly recommended!!!

Josh Padgett — Google review

We saw Phish on June 2022 at “Deer Creek.” We stayed at the Sleepybear Campground across the street. It was very convenient to just walk across the street rather than try to brave parking. The lines were long but moved fast. Security was efficient. I suggest you bring extra water bottles (new & factory sealed.) The venue is really cool if there’s good weather. We were on the grass, and you could see clearly and hear everything! We’ll definitely be back!

Ginny Andino — Google review

Best outdoor amphitheater in the Midwest! If you get lawn tickets in the summer and want to avoid sitting in the sweltering sun, arrive at least 2 hours early and sit nearest the awning as far north (to the right of the stage) as you can. This will put you in the shade earliest. Be sure to get a clear bag to bring your goodies in so you aren’t forced to bring it back to your car or dump it.

Aaron Lawson — Google review

This is a really nice venue! There are concession stands and places to actually sit down and eat. It almost has an amusem*nt park feel to it as you walk through. If you have a seat in the pavilion, there is literally not a bad seat. We sat in the back section and I was surprised with just how close we still were. The lawn is kind of steep though. I was a little disappointed with how high some of the prices were with the concessions. For example, a bourbon "shaker" was over $20 just for one and a hamburger and fries were $14. I had just been to another concert in Ohio and the prices were not this high, so I'm not sure if this is just standard in the area. I definitely recommend this venue though. It's beautiful and the parking isn't too crazy. You don't have to walk really far to the lot. It needs to be noted that if you want to buy alcohol you need your ID no matter how old you are. You have to show your ID at every single place to purchase alcohol.

Kati Lay — Google review

I took my son to his first concert…Luke Bryan at Ruoff. This was my fist time to see a concert there since before the pandemic, and we had a great experience. We had reserved seats (v. the lawn), and the staff members that we encountered were friendly and helpful. I was also impressed with the amenities, selection of food and beverage and the sound. Do yourself a favor and purchase the premium parking. It’s worth every penny.

Doug Moses — Google review

I went to see Jelly Roll and it was a sold out show. Besides it being jam packed it was a all in all great time. The staff we encountered were super nice and helpful. I haven’t been in so long and a lot has changed. I definitely plan on going back soon again. I sent an email to inquire about something and they returned it quickly. All in all a great experience. They also sent out many informative emails leading up to the concert. They made it aware that it was likely going to be hectic. Everyone seemed super cool and helpful. Very impressive considering 25K was there.

Megan Benslay — Google review

Recently came to see the Blackbear and Maroon V show. Great show. Good time. I've been coming here to see concerts almost 30 years. Usually on the lawn. Nothing better than standing around barefoot singing and dancing to your favorites. There is only ever one problem at this venue, when the concert is over, and you just want to go home, it literally takes an hour to get out of the parking lot. The earlier you get there for parking, the less you walk, but you are almost the last to get out. Think I will try premier parking next time. They have their own access road out, seemed to be much faster.Concessions aren't cheap, but that is expected. One reason so many pre game in the parking lot. I have had many a good time here. Will continue to come back as often as I can.She will always be Deer Creek to me!!❤

Rachel Cripe — Google review

This was the most awesome concert venue I have EVER been to. We went to see Zac Brown Band and parking was easy- and free! The entrance wasn't crowded and took no time getting through security or the ticket gate, there were adult beverage stands EVERYWHERE and the lines were super short, come to think of it, I don't think we even waited. As we walked up every time the people in front of us were walking away and we were able to order immediately! The crowd was great too, everyone friendly and having fun, everyone respectful of people's blankets and chairs, and NO fights!! You could see the entertainment from anywhere in the venue thanks to super large video screens , and the sound was crystal clear. We have decided we will be coming back for all the concerts we want to see if they're being played here. I didn't see a lot of kids, but again, it was a Zac Brown Band concert, so I'm not sure if it's kid friendly. I guess it would depend on who's playing. I can't wait for the next time we go!

melanie hawkins — Google review

Seen The Dead and Company 3 years in a row here and can't complain about any of it! Very clean inside and out of the bathrooms..Friendly staff willing to go the distance for the venue. Thank you so much❣️🤗🤗

Erik Straub — Google review

Last year this time we went and seen Zac Brown Band and had a blast! He puts on such a great show! Headed back today to see him again! Didn’t have premier parking last time but we do this year. Hoping it will help with the exit but we shall see! That was the only horrible thing about going was leaving. Stand still traffic for over 2 hours when we left last year. Hoping with the upgrade parking it won’t be as bad?

Tara Love — Google review

Very cool place if sitting in the grass get there early. If you do, you will have awesome seats for cheap. Staff and everyone were very helpful and friendly. The beers are 14 bucks but are 24 oz. The mixed drinks are 22 in a shaker, but my wife loves them, so worth every penny. Thanks for all that you do. Keep on keeping on!

Chadilac — Google review

Came here to see Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top. Was an absolutely amazing experience. Seats were great and the staff was awesome. Also, the concessions are fantastic. There’s something for everyone.

Bret Warner — Google review

I have been here multiple times. My biggest complaint is that parking is a nightmare. Most of the time the line is so slow that it is backed up all the way down into actual traffic and round abouts. Staff are always incredibly friendly. Food and drinks are pretty pricey and it is a cashless venue! Bathrooms are really nice and very clean.

Jade — Google review

It was the best time I've ever had. There were plenty of vendors, bathroom lines went fast, and the people were so much fun! We had a group of 12 and we all had a blast watching Jellyroll 2023! ❤️

deborah hann — Google review

Love this venue! I have done all kinds of tickets - Lawn Pass, individual seats, lawn seats etc. each time I have enjoyed the experience. Crowds can get a little heavy during sold out shows and you’re going to spend a lot of money on alcohol. The upgrades can be a bit tricky to navigate if you don’t know what they look like/add to the experience ahead of time. Highly recommend spending the $50-$60 for the Lone Pine areas when you can. It’s a fun addition!

Chelsea Los — Google review

We attended farmaide yesterday and it was a nice venue. We arrived around 1 and we were able to basically walk right in. You are allowed to take in a gallon clear plastic bag of food. Maybe not in all cases but for this all day event it was allowed. I did purchase farm made pork sandwiches and cash only fruit at farmer venues to the right of the stage. The lawn was crowded but for the most part people were friendly. The security staff were quick to take care of unruly intoxicated people with little disturbance to others. Smoking is allowed though not only cigarettes is smelled. I used the bathrooms on the right and never waited in a line. I got my merchandise before the sun went down, also to the right, and the line moved quickly. Twenty minutes tops. Because I was in the lawn pictures of the stage were not clear. Staff standing by the pavilion were courteous to allow me to take a few shots and return to my seat. The only complaint was a few lawn patrons attempted to purchase food after dark, to the left of the stage, and were in line over an hour. Not sure if this was staffing, an increase of event goers later into the day or everyone going to the left vs the right of the stage. Overall, as long as the day was, the acts, the food, the merchandise and the lines made this trip memorable. On a side note, the free water should come with a disclaimer. Most of us are city folk and drinking well water is an acquired taste. 😉

Carrie Williams — Google review

Overall, the event I went to: Odesza: The last Goodbye was decent. I got there probably too early, so next time I can get there later. Not a lot of shade, but if concerts go towards late evening, then it's fine.

I had the best experience for my first time! My instructor was Quinton and honestly he made the experience such a breeze. He talked me through everything and by the time it was time to jump I wasn’t as nervous. I highly recommend Skydive Indy if you’re looking for a place to go! I will definitely be going again! Also purchase the picture or video package totally worth it!!

I recently took my brother jumping as a wedding gift. Our initial jump was cancelled the morning of due to high winds, which was no problem. Rescheduling was simple and we jumped a few days later. We arrived a couple minutes after 5PM and we were back on the road by 7PM. We jumped on a weekday. The staff was very kind and in great spirits. I jumped with Raul, who was great. He asked me if it was my first time, to which I replied yes, and he said “cool, me too.” Lmao.Photos and videos were completely worth it. I didn’t realize until I saw the footage (which I received the SAME day) that I sported a huge, goofy grin on my face basically the whole jump, haha. Like a kid on Christmas!

Just got done skydiving with my instructor Andre! He was very clear with all the instructions and made me feel safe and calm. Such an amazing first experience, definitely made me want to do it again. Couldn’t wish for a better first experience 🤞!

Went skydiving for the first time ever yesterday and I was really scared leading up to it. I for real can't even get on step ladders without shaking, but waiting and watching other groups go up and come back down with big smiles on their faces was really reassuring. By the time you have your harness on, there isn't much time to think about being scared. It is a really surreal experience and a rush like no other. I am so glad I did it! Lukas and Chuck were awesome and helped me feel safe and comfortable. I would do it again. :)Some notes:-We were rescheduled twice due to weather and that's okay because we would rather be safe than sorry. Our weather was perfect on the third try and we went around 7pm so the almost-sunset-time views were really beautiful.-Bring water and some snacks in case you have to wait a while for your group to jump. They also have vending machines if you have cash.-Seating is a little limited if they're very busy, but there are picnic tables and chairs outside, too. (Bring sunscreen - some aren't under shade!)-You only feel like you're falling for a moment when you jump out of the plane. The rest is like floating!-If you are worried you will look floppy in your video, you will actually look even floppier than you are imagining. But it's worth it!-It's much quieter than expected once the chute opens.-It's very cool to be the first one out of the plane. Plus, you get the best view! Thanks so much, everyone. What a cool experience!

It was definitely a scary experience, but I was so grateful for the staff who made this experience unforgettable for my family. My daughter's dad has always wanted to skydive, so we surprised him for Father's Day. The staff at Skydive helped make this surprise even better through their great energy and good vibes. We felt so welcomed in their space.Lucas was my jumper, and he made my experience better by reassuring me that everything would be okay. All the staff were funny, and helped calm my nerves!! I couldn't believe I had jumped out of a plane!!!

August 13th I did it. Always seen people floating down, as we would drive by in the car, I would always say "that looks like fun". WELL it was absolutely positively amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My tandum instructor, Hyder Ali, was very instructional and calming, I hope I didn't make his job too difficult. The photographer, Johnny, got some great pictures. Not knowing how they do their job, I got a slight nervous inside, cause this fellow was on his back and my instructor was holding his feet, all I could think was please flip over I don't want pictures , but he knows what he doing and is great at it. My daughter's did it too and they enjoyed it also. Skydive Indianapolis in Frankfort, did an amazing job,!!

My mother and I did our first jump together in memory of my brother who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year. We did the jump on his first birthday in heaven. The entire crew at Skydive Indianapolis made the experience a memorable one! They answered all of our questions and made us feel safe throughout the entire wait + jump!

Interesting car parked among aircraft. Fun time. Cars, trucks, and motorcycles were classed by age. But not grouped together. The Cruise-in at the museum was enjoyed by a few hundred people.Without the cars the museum is still a good place to visit. We have been there before when it was much less crowded. Fabulous relic of the Cold War. Be sure to read the review of the nearby Bunker Hilton for a riveting description of the nuclear history right here in the heart of Indiana. Unbelievable!!! “10 Nuclear missiles with men in them” right here! Count the 10 launch pads around Bunker Hilton on Google maps satellite view. So cool.Inside the museum is fantastic but the airplanes on display with the information boards seem like they couldn’t be beat anywhere in the country. This has to be a best-of-class air museum, if you ask me.

Lou Donkle — Google review

Went there for a car show, very cool and saw a lot of cars and planes

Deez Nutz — Google review

Very cool experience for the whole family! Kids loved being able to sit in the co*ckpits, and learn the history behind the different planes and jets

Tom — Google review

We had so much fun and you can touch the planes. There's so much history it's a must visit. Anyone at any age can come and enjoy it. You can even sit inside 2 war planes It's amazing.

Tracy — Google review

I had assumed they were open since Google said they were. Unfortunately, they close for the winter season and do not open until March 14th. While I was investigating why they were closed two other vehicles pulled in and made the same unfortunate were confused and disappointed with the discovery that they were closed. You have to navigate to the “plan a visit” part of their website or go to their Facebook to get any hint that they aren’t open during February. One star for not making it more obvious that they are closed. I’ll try to visit again after they open.

Patrick O'Sullivan — Google review

We had a very nice time visiting here. Didn’t know it existed until we were passing through the area on a trip. Made a point to look it up and we stopped on the way back through. Very informative, lots to see and do. You can schedule a guide or randomly walk around on your own. There were things for kids to interact with and have some hands on experiences. Nice gifts and items to purchase.

Rikki — Google review

☆☆☆ Temporarily Closed until March 2023☆☆☆We did stop by and take photos of the amazing static display of aircraft that they have. We had to take photos from the fence but I would highly recommend any aviation enthusiast like myself to make a trip here. Well worth it. I wish I could have gone inside. I made a special trip out there to see it. Oh well maybe next time.

Matt — Google review

An amazing collection of Air Force history! Kids and adults can climb in a helicopter & jet co*ckpit at the indoor display. Grissom Air Museum participates in Harvest Host and graciously welcomed us to stay with our camper! It was a perfect overnight setting that other RV’ers joined in as well.

Rose Vecchio — Google review

Relaxing and many things to see and learn about at this museum. Helpful friendly and courteous volunteers run this museum. You could sit inside an F-4 phantom fighter co*ckpit. Outstanding static display outside of the museum with many unique planes, some of which no longer exist. Good informational placard‘s in front of each plane as well.If you’re anywhere in the area you should stop by and visit. The entrance fee is very reasonable at about $6 to $8. Plan on spending 1 to 2 hours here. The day we attended there was a American motors automobile show out next to many of the planes.

This was our third time here to watch the cirque dreams! It's our newer annual tradition! Highly recommend! It's full of color, great music and singing, acrobatics, and just plain excitement!! This is fun for kids and adults! We sat in row B, which seemed to be pretty perfect seats!

Sarah Jones — Google review

This is a nice venue for all sorts of big activities. They have a variety of rooms to accommodate parties of all sizes. They offer catering and everything you might need for a wedding or other celebrations.Parking is surprisingly easy compared to other venues like this.

Greg Eakins — Google review

The Honeywell Center is one of my favorite venues to see concerts and/or other shows at. The Honeywell Center frequently hosts many excellent acts. I've seen several shows at the Honeywell Center over the years. The parking is all nearby and free also.My wife and I saw The StepCrew show last night. The StepCrew show was excellent, and my wife and I really enjoyed the show.

Erik Little — Google review

This is a very nice place to go for an event. The chairs are super comfy. There's not a bad seed in the house

Robin Conquest — Google review

Enjoyed Scotty McCeery concert. Not a bad seat in the Ford theater. Friendly staff and beautifully decorated for Christmas.

stacy roof — Google review

We come to shows here often. The Honeywell center is an amazing performing arts center especially given the size of the town. It's newer, with comfortable seating. Large enough to bring in nice shows, but small enough that there are no bad seats. Parking is free and never an issue, the art gallery in the lobby always has something new on display, and the on site restaurant is pretty good too. If you live nearby, definitely check out the schedule of shows coming.

Jared Coffman — Google review

Best venue I've personally gone to. The prices are very reasonable, the customer service is top notch and the seating is beyond great. Not a bad seat In the house.. Would recommend 1000 times over!!!

Sabrina Perfecto — Google review

A wonderful place to see a concert or variety of other things like musicals or comedians, etc. the seats are comfortable and there’s enough room to walk by people in the rows. The acoustics are good. Only negative is (like every other venue) they need more women’s restrooms.

Kelly McArdle Miller — Google review

The parking was easy to deal with before and after a concert. The volunteer staff do a great job of assisting customers and keeping.things organized. The music sounded wonderful .

Tami Ashburn — Google review

A wonderful asset for Wabash, IN! I have attended and photographed weddings, shows, concerts, and exhibits at this amazing facility over the years. Always first-rate experiences.

Glen Devitt — Google review

Watched the AC/DC tribute band 'Thunderstruck', and it was AWESOME!!! Great venue and friendly staff.

Paul Rodgers — Google review

Outstanding venue for concerts. Sound is excellent and every seat has a great view.

Jeff Owens — Google review

Very nice place. I would definitely go back. The facility was clean & staff were friendly. The seats were comfortable & there really isn't a bad sear in the house. They have a concession stand that offers a variety of alcohol, beverages, & snacks. I also enjoyed the artwork that they had on display from local schools. It is in a plesant small town that offers some good restaurants. I'm looking forward to going back.

Audrey Crist — Google review

Saw Tennessee Whiskey Chicago Chris Stapleton tribute along with the Eric Church tribute. Was a nice evening out with my wife.Didn’t like the way we had to go outside the venue to go back into the building to get to the concession stand.

jim myers — Google review

Great place to see a show. Comfortable seating, Clean. You can have beverages at your seat. No elevator to the upper floor so if you don't do stairs don't do the upper deck

Such a private intimate place to experience a concert! We saw crowder and it was so nice to just be so close with not millions of people! Very friendly staff. We LOVED IT!

Amber Thomsen — Google review

We absolutely love coming here for events. The staff are always incredibly friendly and helpful. The performances are always fantastic! We have never had a bad experience in all the years we've been coming for shows and concerts. There truly isn't a bad seat in the house. If you haven't been, then what are you waiting for?

Stacey Phipps — Google review

I have went to many shows at the Wagon Wheel over the years, and I just want to say each one leaves me thinking, “Now, THIS was the best show yet!” Notable shows that I wish I could re-experience are Singing in the Rain, The Wizard of Oz, Elf, The Addams Family, Footloose, the list goes on. I can’t believe Warsaw has such a gem of a theatre here. I always anticipate seeing what each summer season will bring!

Katey Walls — Google review

Wonderful set up, no matter where you sit you can see everything. Very nicely ran and directed. I would recommend to anyone.

Beau Adkins — Google review

Great venue that I have had the pleasure of visited several times, as they have the good taste of scheduling Collin Raye. It is in a location that is easy to get to, and designed in the round, so there are no bad seats. The acoustics are really good here, the seats comfortable, pictures are allowed. They have a nice lobby, with adult beverages, and bathrooms with enough stalls that you are not waiting for lengthy periods.

Janet Finley — Google review

I've been to three different shows so far. All the productions have very well done. With the circle seating, there is not a bad seat in the house.

Richard Fox — Google review

A very nice , intimate theatre, round stage, not really a bad seat in house. The talent has been outstanding each show I have seen. Very enjoyable.

Saw Always, Patsy Cline tonight. Very enjoyable show!We have been attending the Wagon Wheel Theatre since they had folding chairs and burlap over the screen windows. (40 + years)Always worth the drive and the ticket price.

Patty Baker — Google review

My family and I really enjoyed the show!! The actors were terrific! The seats, however, are not comfortable at all. They definitely could use an update.

Misty Garrett — Google review

We love the Wagon Wheel! We are now season subscribers and absolutely love the shows performed. Stunning sets. Professional actors! And a heart for community theater!

Lydia Fisher — Google review

The Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts is a really unique and fun setting for professional theater performances. We started going last year and have enjoyed multiple performances here! The “in the round” seating provides good views for all. And the production team and directors try to ensure all four sections get the attention of the cast throughout the shows.Creative use of the overhead “fly space” was great and sets have to be rethought to accommodate the non-existent stage wings. So productions don’t have a huge set usually, but often reimagine the story in ways that work well in this space.Recommendation is to go see any show possible at this fantastic regional theater. And keep the arts ALIVE!!

Chris Wolf — Google review

Wonderful production! Lived up to the hype and expectation! Will look forward to seeing another show here!

Jim van slyke — Google review

Always have a good time with seasoned actors who do a great job of theater in the round!!!

Timothy Strycker — Google review

First visit to the Wagon Wheel since coming with my parents when I was probably 10 or 12. We had a wonderful time with our granddaughters seeing the Little Mermaid. We were very impressed with the entire experience. The performers were excellent, staging, lighting, and especially Crew seemed flawless. It’s so nice to have an intimate venue and wonderful performing arts here in Indiana. Doesn’t look like there is a bad seat in the place.

Me and my Auntie was expecting something different. New owners. Sundays morning is like a buffet.

T Ashford — Google review

The Easter Buffet was horrible! It was VERY expensive, so we were expecting a delicious meal. The food was overcooked, undercooked, cold, and hard. The salad bar selection was extremely minimal. They had soup but no spoons. They ran out of plates. We ordered coffee, received no refill and no sugar or cream even after requesting. The desserts ....were not really desserts, just their attempt at muffin tops? maybe scones? No pies, cakes, or even a cookie. We should have gone to McDonalds! I don't like to leave negative reviews but I had to be honest.

The play was amazing. We loved it. The actors did a fabulous job. The food however, "Threshers Dinner" left a lot to be desired. Fried chicken- soggy and flavorless, the beef and noodles was cold and also lacking in flavor and beef, the mixed vegetables had no seasoning, the ham was just average, the dressing was overcooked and dry, the bread was awful, dry and crumbly. The only thing worth eating was the mashed potatoes and the dessert, we had the raspberry cream pie. They also started us with really small portion sizes. We highly recommend the play, but save your money on dinner. Go enjoy dinner somewhere else.

We decided to eat at "The Barn in Nappanee", Indiana. All Amish cooked from scratch. It was a buffet so all you could eat. Maybe… Well, I couldn't even finish the first plateThe ham and bean soup was to die for! Everything on our plates were perfectly cooked! Blueberry butter on the bread was excellent! The green beans were cooked perfectly! Crisp to the bite.. Yum, just the way I like them. I had to go back and try the fries white fish.. It was good but fried that much was to much for me.. To top it off, I had a Blue Moon Belgian White to enjoy! Tina took my orange slice. 😁 We ordered a Cherry pie slice to go so we could share it later..Our server Crystal was great! Everyone was so nice as well!

Mary (Local Guide) — Google review

The Easter buffet was, at best, disappointing. The food was lukewarm to cold, chicken was beet red in the center, only offered a salad fork, limited choices, only cookies and scones for dessert. For even the discounted senior price this meal was overpriced. When a waiter stopped by (not the actual person that had been our server) and asked how the meal was, we mentioned the chicken and food temp. One of our party showed what seemed to be a sliver of wood found in her pudding and his reaction was to shrug. I really looked forward to this meal. I will not return.

Tamara Frey — Google review

Easter buffet sucked!!!! French toast cold, scrambled eggs dry & green on the bottom. Fried chicken wasn’t anywhere near done. Much of the choices were barely lukewarm. Dessert choices very limited for a holiday buffet. Our party of 4 were not at all impressed & will never go again!

I called earlier in the week for reservations for Easter. I was told that they were not taking anymore reservation but would do walk in. I asked what the wait looked like for 11:30. The girl on the phone told me about a 45 min wait. My husband and I came early 11:10 for to wait before my our daughter and son came. We put our name in and and was told 45 min to 1 hour. We walked around but could hear names being called we understood they had reservation. At the 45 min time my husband went in to see how longer the wait would be and was told 30 min. We seat down after 30 minutes I checked and was told another 30 min. We got talking to the lady who said she also had no reservations. The lady and l compaired what times we each got there and we both needed a table for 4. We were here a half hour before her. Again my husband went up again after more then 30 minutes and as he did they called this lady with her family of 4. So I went up to find out why we are still waiting. They told us we would be the next table of 4 but instead 2 more family of 4 was called. We left to go to Cracker Barrel. We waited 2 hr before we left. I do not know how the Barns food taste it was our first and last time there. But Cracker Barrel is good and I will return there to eat again.

We checked into the La Porte County Historical Society Museum' which featured everything about La Porte from vehicles, old memorabilia, and historical pieces. There is a lot of unique information and amazing artifacts. It's definitely worth visiting. Not only was it a very reasonable priced entry, but they had a couple of games you can enjoy yourself for a free pin. We played all three, so we got three pins! Did you find these items? Find the yarn to find the answer and figure out which car.

Rebecca Craft — Google review

Great historical information and exhibits about LaPorte...learned a lot about LaPorte...Plus many of the cars that were there when it was the car museum, are still there

Amanda — Google review

We stopped here just to check it out because it seemed like a cool little place to walk through. Overall, I can say we were blown away but the size of the building. It was huge. The place is very well kept with a lot of great information to read. There were so many articles from both the town and history in general. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys history. Not the greatest place for little kids. I loved the old cars and all of the guns. A must see if you are in LaPorte. You can’t beat the $5 admission price either.

A fantastic museum for all ages! Everything from toys to science to classic cars to history. Part Field Museum, part Smithsonian, part Indy 500, part Laporte history. Highly recommended.

Went with friends to listen to speakers on Belle Gunness. Very informative. The LAPORTE Museum is a nice way to gain history on Laporte and it’s something to do that doesn’t cost a lot of money. They have a nice little gift shop. You can become a member for as little as $15 and they have informational meetings on different topics.

This place was amazing! From the building structures to the collection of cars absolutely stunning. I never thought that I can find the very old model of a cars that previous president used. You guys needs to check this place you will never regret it. It’s worth every penny you spend here. Loved it so much!

Our visit to the Studebaker Museum was an absolute delight! We were enthralled by the impressive collection of early Studebaker models and the intriguing display showcasing which presidents used Studebakers. The museum's beautiful building provided the perfect backdrop to explore the rich history of Studebaker, dating back to its early carriage days. The wealth of information presented in the exhibits was impressive, offering a comprehensive journey through the evolution of this iconic brand. Whether you're a Studebaker enthusiast or simply curious about automotive history, the Studebaker Museum is a must-visit destination that will leave you with a deeper appreciation for the brand's enduring legacy.

Beautiful styling. These Studebaker automobiles were and still are works of art. After visiting I understand why the museum is rated as high as it is. It was a pleasant afternoon with my wife.

Dire Needs — Google review

This is a very impressive museum for both car enthusiasts as well as those interested in history. There are displays that cover Studebakers early years of wagon and coach building all the way to the last car they made. I especially enjoyed seeing the prototypes and specialty vehicles. The facilities are very nice and inviting. There is even a gift shop. You won't be disappointed.

I was there with a company that actually rented the museum for the evening and the museum catered an amazing meal. It was comfort food done right! And we were welcome to tour the museum as well. It was a wonderful museum and there was a car there to use as a photo op. One of the areas had a person from the museum sharing fun information about some of the cars. That was an added bonus!

Barbara Nydegger — Google review

It is an ideal location for children to visit, it has a lot of cars and a lot of nice places for children to play. There is a small classroom, a small children's house, a small kitchen, and a small camping place. The children had a lot of fun

Very nice and larger than I expected. Being from Lansing, everything was always “Oldsmobile “it was nice to learn about the huge impact of Studebaker‘s! Incredibly clean, nice bathrooms I would definitely Pee here again. Also toured the Oliver house huge and beautiful. So much unknown history.

Very neat museum! My dad was a Studebaker/Packard guy, so it definitely brought back a lot of memories. Lots of cool cars and horse-drawn carriages on display, plenty of informational displays telling you about the history of the company. My little boy enjoyed seeing how much the cars cost back in the day, and walking on the paving surface samples throughout the chronologically-organized museum.

Joshua Carter — Google review

An excellent museum presenting the entire history of the Studebaker car company. Lots of exhibits, original cars and many other interesting artifacts. An absolute must-visit for every motoring fan. I recommend spending a few hours visiting this museum because there is a lot to see. To sum up: Awesome.

A great collection of cars including presedent vehicles since 1800s, you can take a photo sitting inside a retro car

Jawad Siddique — Google review

We went at a good time. It wasn't very busy at all. We chose to go there because we were reading a children's book from 1904 and there were many older cars in the book. So, I took my son to see the old cars for himself.

Dana Tennison — Google review

I really good collection of cars. This was the main reason I visited South bend this last time. I know people mainly go to SB for ND but if you are around go visit the museum. Take advantage and take a tour of the Oliver Mansion which is in the same grounds.

Very nice museum. Huge selection of Studebaker's to view, spread out over a two story building. Also attached to the History Museum. Offer free admission for active duty service members and discounts for veterans.

Clean step back into history, with lots of vehicles from over 100 years of history. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, gift shop, and kids area. 3 floors with elevator access. Decent prices for the car museum and also options for the history museum next door.

📸 ❤️ Nothing like capturing an amazing Wedding at the Studebaker Museum! 🚙🥰Our team got the chance to spend the day with our couple and we cannot wait to come back and photograph / video another wedding here. 🥰The location has endless possibilities, the staff is amazing and it's such a unique spot that it's an experience all on its own.

Westley Leon Studios Wedding Photographer — Google review

Nice little museum that we got to go to on a Sunday. With the SJC library pass, you can see this and the history museum for free (up to 6 people) and we enjoyed it. I do wish there was a better way of an app or like an audio tape to play while we were walking around, the app was hard to work around, and I couldn't find where it did the walk through. Otherwise, we loved coming here and seeing all the cars and the history museum. I did think it was funny seeing some things in the history section that came from my childhood lol... starts to show my age LOL.

Courtney Baker-Beck — Google review

Absolutely loved the buggy's all the way to the concept cars. Very clean three story facility with friendly and knowledgeable staff. They tell you anything you want to learn. I will go again when I am in town.

Chris Brown — Google review

Really cool museum filled with 120 or so classic cars from different periods of time. Nice way to spend an hour or two at a very reasonable price ($11 per adult ticket).

Scott Nelsen — Google review

If you're a motor head or a ghost chaser this is a good place to stop since it offers both! The Studebaker part is 3 stories on one side, the other side is the haunted history of Indiana. Both are neat!

Buckle up, gearheads, because the Studebaker National Museum in South Bend, Indiana, just blew my doors off! This ain't your grandpa's dusty car collection – it's a chrome-plated, high-octane thrill ride through automotive history. From the moment you step into the sleek, modern building, you're transported to a world of gleaming Studebakers, from the earliest horseless carriages to the futuristic bullet-nosed dream machines. These aren't just cars, they're rolling works of art, each one a testament to American ingenuity and craftsmanship. The exhibits are more than just static displays – they're interactive, immersive experiences. You can hear the engines roar, smell the leather seats, and practically feel the wind in your hair as you cruise through vintage ads and historical footage. And the stories! Every car has a tale to tell, from presidential parades to Hollywood roadsters, and the knowledgeable docents are there to spin those yarns like master mechanics. But the museum ain't just about Studebakers, it's about the whole darned history of South Bend. You'll see how this little Hoosier town became the "Gear City," churning out wagons, carriages, and even military vehicles that shaped the nation. And let's not forget the Presidential Carriage Collection – talk about rolling history books! You'll come face-to-face with the carriage Lincoln rode to Ford's Theatre, and trust me, chills will run down your spine.Whether you're a gearhead grease monkey or just a history buff with a sense of adventure, the Studebaker National Museum is a must-visit. It's a place where imagination fuels the engine, and the past roars back to life in glorious technicolor. So hit the gas and head to South Bend – you're in for a ride you won't forget!**Bonus points:** Don't miss the gift shop – it's a treasure trove of vintage car memorabilia, perfect for finding that unique souvenir or stocking stuffer. And if you're feeling peckish, the Tippecanoe Place Restaurant on-site serves up some mean comfort food that'll refuel your engine for more exploring.**Final verdict:** Five out of five wrenches! The Studebaker National Museum is a polished gem, a purring masterpiece, a guaranteed good time for anyone with a pulse and a love for history (or hot rods!). Take my word for it, you'll leave with a smile wider than a '57 Studebaker Hawk's grille. Now go, vroom vroom!

Such a great family experience! We loved all the attractions. Next time I will come back and shop the store. Try the gem mining, it's a great value.

This place looks really cool! I was pretty excited to check it out. All of the nicely built structures and layout really entices a person. Then frustration kicked in. There are no workers around. The only person I found outside didn't speak any English. He walked me from the back of the lot to the front and handed me off to another guy. That guy told me where to go but refused to join me on my trek.I find what I am looking for and there no carts... anywhere. Another woman in the area complaining about there being no carts. I walk all the way to the front and get a cart... and it doesn't push on the gravel path. I watch an elderly lady struggling with her cart. Screw it, I walk to the back and carry the tree to the checkout while dodging boards with nails in the middle of the path. I move the board off the path and turn it upside down so no one steps on it. Onward to the checkout - no one is there.Screw it, I bring the tree inside. This is awkward to navigate through the narrow isle and people blocking the path. The girl at the counter is a little huffy and asks why I didn't checkout outside... oh girl, you are killing me.I'm hot, sweaty, a little gross, and a bit upset and uncertain if I will ever return. The cool factor might be a trick to sucker people into a visit.

We had a fantastic time! My 5 year old loved all the animals especially the "store cats" who were beyond sweet. I got some great plants at a great price. Lots of unique items. We'll be back.

Garden center, decorations, gift shop, and cafe with a lot of charm in Elkhart. The large shop contains a large variety of holiday decoration and knickknacks. There’s a large garden center indoor/outdoor that’s decorated like a small town. Curiosity’s and topiary’s abound outside. There’s also a petting zoo and a variety of Childers activities for purchase. The cafe has a good size menu of sandwiches and some entrees. The food was great and staff were very friendly.

I love Linton's! I've been going to Linton's since it was on the other side of the river, and I've always enjoyed strolling through and I always find something I want! This was my boyfriends first trip and he loved it too! ❤️

Katie Lott — Google review

Linton's is a magical place to visit. So many cool structures and plants as well as the petting zoo and lots of cute birds. Prices are more on the expensive side. Heard a rumor and confirmed it today that they took away the option to feed the koi fish. Hoping that's not permanent because it's been one of the simple joys of life!

B Schatz — Google review

Such a great first experience! Barbie repotted my plants for me at free of charge other than buying a new pot. She helped give me helpful information about my plants. A unique store! Something for everybody. Will definitely be back

Neat place to take the littles. We rode the train and fed the animals at the petting zoo. It was fun but not sure if I would go out of my way to come here again just for the kids. I would however return for myself for the home decor and garden aspect. I found a beautiful Mother Mary statue as well as a butterfly rock to add to my rock garden at home. I took off one star due to the very expensive cafe. One sandwich was $15! I could not believe it. I did however order a caramel milkshake for my 2 daughters and the ladies were kind enough to split it into 2 smaller cups for them.

Sarah Wagner — Google review

Linton's Is one of those hidden in plain sight gems that you might not know exist. We made a whole family trip out of going just to Linton's. We were able to feed the animals, pan for our own gems, and play on the playground equipment. Everyone is always so nice and knowledgeable if you are in the market for any of their plants. They do events throughout the year to bring in families such as Santa Claus greetings and car shows. I would highly recommend for anyone in this area who has never been.

Kortney M — Google review

We went there on the 30th of May 2021 and we enjoyed it. The strategy of putting some attractions in a business does work...and they did a very good job. Adults and children alike are having a good time while mommies and grannies are choosing their plants and souvenirs to buy. Shopping and enjoyment goes together.

Basilica

Sights & Landmarks

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart is a stunning Catholic church from the 19th century, renowned for its beautiful stained-glass windows and frescoes. It holds significant historical and religious value and is located on the campus of Notre Dame. Visitors are advised to be respectful when entering as it is a peaceful and serene environment. The church also hosts wedding photoshoots so visitors should check scheduled times before arriving. Regardless of religion, anyone can appreciate the beauty this basilica has to offer.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. If you are ever on the campus of Notre Dame make sure you come and visit this basilica. I think I have been to all the basilicas in the world now so it feels good to visit this one again. The inside is very quiet and serene so make sure you are respectful when coming in. You don’t have to be Catholic to appreciate this beauty.

Wilson Reyes — Google review

Beautiful, worth visiting. Free to visit the church for an hour. They will give you a pass.

Emily Williams — Google review

So beautiful that words and photos can't capture. Easy to get on campus, you get a one hour pass from the security at the gate. Definitely recommend visiting!!

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart is the absolutely exquisite church on the beautiful campus of the University of Notre Dame. Located next to the Main Administration Building featuring the famed "Golden Dome" both are worthy of a visit!

Stunningly beautiful, inside and out. The pictures don't do it justice. If you have a chance to visit Basilica of the Sacred Heart to see it in person you won't be disappointed.

Scott Nelsen — Google review

The place was nothing short of gorgeous! It was serene and carried a lot of historical and religious value. Be aware that there are always people having a wedding photoshoot so be mindful of scheduled times and church sessions.

Constantine Kim — Google review

Good photo opportunities. 8am mass only occurs during home games. Beautiful, ornate interior. Plenty of shade, smooth pavement and places to sit within 100 yards of the building.

Wendy Peters — Google review

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame is without a doubt my favorite Catholic Church of all time. From September 2017 until June 2018 and again for a football weekend in November 2019 I had the privilege of serving as a tour guide here and it remains without a doubt the best job I could ever ask for. The Basilica has so much history from the 19th Century French Stain Glass windows to the murals painted by Luigi Gregori and so much more. The Faith here is truly alive both the Daily and Sunday Masses that are celebrated here are so beautiful and the homilies are uplifting powerful and amazing. If your ever visiting Notre Dame's campus during a home football weekend or any time of the year is one place you should definitely check out the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.

Billy Guenter — Google review

Breathtaking. If you are EVER on Notre Dame campus see ALL the sights, but absolutely stop in here to see the chapel. We were also told by an usher that the stained glass in the chapel is some of the only remaining French stained glass in the world. A MUST SEE!! I can't even imagine what mass would be like here.

Sarah Burnham — Google review

Beautiful place we also visited the grotto it is not far from the church and also the Notre Dame bookstore. Just walking around is an honor!

JodiLynn Johnson — Google review

Breathtakingly beautiful! We held my grandfather's funeral mass here since he attended Notre Dame as an undergrad. This is one of the most gorgeous spaces I've ever seen. Truly remarkable and a must see if you're in South Bend!

Andrea Callahan — Google review

One of the most beautiful cathedrals I have ever visited being a Catholic. The inside is immaculate and the folks who show you around are helpful and full of knowledge. Even if you are not spiritual, just the peacefulness of the sanctuary and the artwork is a reason to visit.

Chris Brown — Google review

We were at the Basilica for our cousins Profession of Pertpetual Vows, the campus is a beautiful place. The Cathedral is an exquisite work of art, from columns supporting the roof structure, the alter, the Stations of the Cross, the the incredible stained glass windows. The entire campus is beautifully landscaped and well manicured. The history of the campus is interesting as well as enlightening. The lake is serene and peaceful, and the grotto is peculiarly silent even being near the roadway. It is reverent place and many students gather there is solitude and prayer. We were very impressed with the campus and it's beauty.

Stuber Velasquez — Google review

This is truely a place of worship dedicated to Jesus Christ. I have been to many churches, chapels, basilicas, etc... across Europe, Mexico, Canada and The USA and this place is at the top of the list to see, worship, and experience the prsense of God. If you have the opportunity to visit and worship make it a top priority!

Universities & Schools

The University of Notre Dame, a Catholic institution founded in 1842, is home to the Fighting Irish football team and boasts a picturesque campus. Notable historic sites include the Basilica, dome, and library. The university's Gothic architecture is symbolic of Paris and France itself, with Napoleon having been crowned there. The stadium on campus is impressive and ushers provide helpful service to visitors. Hospitality at Notre Dame is excellent and tailgating events offer opportunities for socializing with fellow fans.

I love it here! I have worked here for 15 years and don't plan to leave anytime soon. Plenty to do and see, people are kind, as it's a beautiful campus. Plus, who doesn't love the best football team?

The University of Notre Dame Campus is strikingly beautiful. The architecture of its buildings is stunning. In May the tulips around campus are beautiful to see. Souvenirs can be picked up from the bookstore. You can take in a mass at the beautiful cathedral or partake in a sporting event. It is a must see when visiting South Bend.

I was there today to run a Spartan Race. Three venue was awesome. I got a chance to run through the entire stadium, the football field, and some of the campus. We also got to run through the locker rooms and courtyard that had a great view of Touchdown Jesus. The Notre Dame Stadium staff was great too. Very professional. They treated the few thousands of racers, Spartan Race staff, and spectators like family. I'd definitely like to go back again soon.

In the spirit of full disclosure I am somewhat biased as I am an Alumnus. That said, this is truly one of the most unique and beautiful college campuses in the country. I love returning when in the area, and now that I am retired have more time to do so! Do yourself a favor, and put this place on your "bucket list" for places to go!

Absolutely beautiful campus. I didn't study there, so, cannot talk for the quality of education but the place is gorgeous.I love taking walks there, I love roaming around the campus. I love the lakes, swans, and ducks as well! The landscaping is amazing.I like coming here to light a candle for my grandma. 🕯I think I'd be absolutely happy to go to this school as a college student!

Anastasiia Iun — Google review

A very beautiful Campus. Well maintained as it is makes it easy to see why it's such a popular choice for a great education. I would give a full five just for the beauty but as I have never been a student I can't fairly say how I'd feel having never experienced attending. As a visitor I truly enjoyed the architectural beauty and the history of the famed campus. I recommended this as a great free must see in the area!

Mary Jane — Google review

Beautiful campus. Great place to watch a football game. Great atmosphere. Friendly fans. Food was good for stadium food and prices were reasonable. If you are passing through South Bend on a Saturday and you have a few hours available, I would highly recommend checking out a University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish football game. You won't be disappointed in the stadium or atmosphere. Go Irish!

Mike Bartsch — Google review

Great architectureI can't really say much about the university itself, I just came to visit to see the stunning basilica. There were actually less buildings with unique architectural elements than I was expecting. It appears that the bookstore and dorms and most general buildings are mostly square brick structures. Still worth visiting to see the Grotto, Basilica, and gold dome.

Sizable, contemporary event facility & museum of the RV & manufactured-housing industry.

This is a self guided tour, so you can look at your leisure. There are so many fun facts, great displays, and they are adding new things for future tours. Having the opportunity to step back in time and also seeing current things was amazing. My husband and I decided to just stop in for a quick weekend getaway- this wasn’t at all what I expected in a very positive way! This is something for an audience of all ages. You get reading, exercise, and education. They offer some of the campers to tour inside, so you will get a hands on experience of different time periods. I wish I would’ve taken more pictures and will provide the few that I did take for reference.

Angela Buell — Google review

Fun for our whole family. Twin 5 year olds had a blast going in all the campers, old and new. We had fun as adults too. Kids 5 and under were free, so that was nice. We spent about an hour and a half here. We were the only ones the whole time.. had the place to ourselves.

Rachel Stagliano — Google review

I really enjoyed this museum, many very interesting exhibits from early 1900s to present day RVs as well as Manufactured Homes. There were also numerous informative videos on various related topics dotted around the museum including a theatre dedicated to the introductory video. Well worth a visit.

Jose Bessa — Google review

Huge museum you can spend hours inside if you dnt feel like reading everything you can still spend a long time inside just looking at all the different versions and years and ways they moved forward and in some ways behind. They had clean bathrooms a very good sized gift shop you can buy souvenirs at. A huge parking lot for any rigs that might be being towed, to those who want to visit. Parking has no shortage. Expect to spend about a half a day inside.

Loved it! Tried to add it to our full-timing travels for ten years and never made it.So glad we scheduled it in. Staff was so friendly and I got to see my all-time favorites inside and out (Winnie Brave & GMC Safari). We only had time for the lower levels so we plan on coming back at least once more.

Jenn Holt — Google review

The front receptionist, and the front image of the place, seemed upset we were visiting. Not a friendly reception, not a smile, not a welcome to…, just a cashier attitude asking how many tickets, we were me and my wife, dumb question. As for the place, was ok, nice history of RV’s.Honestly, that ugly feeling of being unwelcome, kills all what is there to look. I’m the kind of person that when that happens, I turn around and leave. My wife was the one that told me not to pay attention and keep going.Sorry, getting this survey refreshed my memory about that moment.

Ruben A (Mr Porsche) — Google review

I was very surprised when I walked in not knowing what it was going to be like it's a good couple our way to have fun and learn a little bit about RV history they have a lot more campers than I thought inside to look at

Great place to visit to see history at its best. RVs from all decades are on display in great condition. History is provided in the form of film and printed material available to enjoy at your own speed. We definitely enjoyed our visit and highly recommend that everyone supports this wonderful museum.

Niko Ellis — Google review

Very interesting displays, showing where the rv industry started to almost where we are today (probably 10-15 years ago).I think $20 is a little high for admission.

Matt Simon — Google review

Neat to see the old time RVs. This industry has come a long way. The lighting in this place should be improved. The clamp silver work lights don’t offer the best lighting for photos. We enjoyed our visit, but I think this place could make some improvements that would better show off their collection. There were a lot of great RV stories. The collection of toy RVs were really neat too.

DJ Barry — Google review

Absolutely loved the place. I was here 10 years ago and it's even better today. I loved seeing the classic RVs. They are so well displayed and easy to view. I enjoyed the mobile home area. That is something I don't know much about and there is a lot of overlooked history there.

The food was excellent! Everyone loved everything they ordered! Uses REAL bacon for their BLT! Yummy! Of you have not been here I definitely would recommend it!

Excellent casino! We come here mainly for the buffet, we drive all the way from Illinois, about 1.5 hr drive because its worth it. The buffet used to have more food selections, such as Asian, Italian, Mediterranean, currently they are down to a fraction of the previous capacity. I was told recently they will be returning to full service soon however, sometime October 2022 but not 100% certain. We have not tried the other restaurants, I would bet they are all good. As for the casino, its clean, and very well laid out. There are numerous shops inside also to purchase items if you intend to stay at the hotel. We have not had the opportunity to stay at the hotel, but imagine its also very well maintained. I feel like I'm in vegas when coming to this casino. We just hope they get that buffet going to full speed again, we would visit much more frequently and spend more money if only that buffet were fully operational.

**Updated**We have stayed here many times and it is always a pleasure, the rooms are clean, well cared for and the staff is so friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our stay in April in the Deluxe Suite, the two room suite was amazing. The jetted tub faced the windows so we had a beautiful view of the sunset while we relaxed. The bathroom doors kind of made us laugh a bit, they just look like closet doors, so we called it Narnia 🤣🤣 the whole room was comfortable and inviting. We've been staying here regularly in smoking and non-smoking rooms, the deluxe suite is a non-smoking room, and the second best room you can get besides their celebrity suites. It is always a pleasure staying here, even if the slots aren't being so nice lol.Absolutely loved it here, the room was amazing, the shower especially. The whole staff was so welcoming and accommodating, very helpful with any questions we had. The room was very clean and well stocked. The buffet was omg, so good. So many options for food, and so many desserts. The drinks served at the c-bar were delicious. On site Starbucks was great and the cashier was very helpful and so cheerful. Lost money on the floor but went for fun, will be back asap lol

My wife and I went here for a concert at their venue, Silver Creek Event Center, and stayed the night. There was a self check-in option which I think would've been quicker; however, as we've never stayed there before, we elected to use a person to check in. There was a short wait, but not too bad.The room was clean and very spacious with a great view. It had a mini fridge, a microwave, and a Kurieg with some k-cups. You likely won't find any bargains though, I think we paid around $330 for one night, and there was no room service when we stayed if that matters to you. They did have an outdoor pool area and a fitness center.Neither of us are big gamblers so I can't speak much to that experience, except to say that they did have a lot of machines and table games to choose from. I do love that it's a smoke free casino (there are designated smoking rooms if you are a smoker). There are also places to hang out if you want to do something other than gamble. There is a sports betting area to sit and watch sports (with a bar if you want to order a drink), a restaurant on the casino floor, Timbers, if you want to stop and eat, and other bars also located on the casino floor. They also have a Steakhouse, Kankakee River Grill, a buffet, a coffee shop, and other gift shops. We elected to eat at Timbers and the service for food was SLOW. If you're going to an event and want to eat beforehand, better get there plenty early, like at least an hour maybe more.We enjoyed the concert, the show was very good. I would recommend sitting in the back if you're going to a concert as they have stadium seating in the back and it's comfortable. It looked like just banquet chairs up front.Overall it was an enjoyable experience, all of the staff members were friendly and helpful. The only downsides I would say are that it's not cheap and the food service is slow.

I’m freshly 21 so 4 winds is my first experience at a casino. It definitely was not a disappointment. The staff were all very nice and inviting. They have a nice bar that made very taste, pretty looking drinks. They have a wide verity of different types of machines to check out. The building itself is huge and there is a lot to looks at. The place is very clean too. I have started getting vouchers in the mail too which is nice. Overall I highly recommend giving this place a visit. Just remember to play in moderation and be smart.

Beautiful casino with a huge amount of slot machines! Restaurants, shopping are located inside they even have a theater for concerts. Comfortable seats good views all around. Will definitely come back to see another concert here. Acoustics were good.Washrooms are well maintained. No smoking allowed inside which is a plus but people were allowed to smoke too close to leaving the building forcing people to walk through the smoke! The

I loved the windings tree line road to the casino and the surprising enormous Indian chalet casino that appeared before my eyes. We went for lunch. I'm looking forward to going back for the entertainment.

For anyone curious about payouts, it's good to remember that casinos, like any business, have their model. Every time we engage, there's potential for fun and wins. Let's stay optimistic and enjoy each moment! Just play and it will come!

Stayed a couple of nights in gorgeous rooms. The staff was great! The hallways were cool and reminded me of scary movies where the hallways never end. The beds were comfortable and the showers were to die for. The TV screen had a fireplace running and was so relaxing. Definitely going back.

The staff were all so friendly and nice. Can’t complain about a single person. The dealers were also very friendly and fun to joke around with while playing. My only complaint are the room temperatures. Felt like we were in an inferno at first. It cooled down later in the night but it was still a bit muggy and tough to sleep. Next time I’m heading back to GR from Chicago I’ll definitely be back but might have to consider the Holiday Inn across town for sleeping due to the temperature of our room.

Disclaimer: dont normally spend much time at casino's.Four winds casino's is not the flashiest casino I have ever been to, that would most likely go to one in Vegas.I do think this casino is very nice and well kept. Everything is well finished and clean. It does not smell saturated with smoke. There are very nice restaurant/ bar options. The buffet has great prime rib Saturday's! The casino does a great job decorating for the holidays and making transitions! I would recommend for adults in the area that have a free night to experience part of southwest Michigan. Great environment to watch sports at the bars and center areas!

Such a beautiful place. Hotel rooms were big and comfortable. The buffet was decent, the cold salad and dessert was the best part. Hot food was lacking. The grill had good food, liked breakfast the most. Definatly a older crowd. They do have entertainment on the weekend. There were people winning on the slots but seemed to be more losing then winning. I only got lucky on one machine and it really was just making the money back that I had lost. Several machines I was looking for they didn't have. For a night getaway with alittle play its great. Customer service is good. No smoking anywhere in the building. No free alcohol while playing games. But the drink we did purchase was $12 at the bar, it was strong and good. Not my first choice of places to go but I would return again.

Second time visiting this beautiful casino after visiting 2 years ago. Absolutely love the decor throughout and the fabulous grounds. Everything is well cared for including the flower gardens to the inside structure. The casino area was the biggest improvement over these 2 years since I was here. It is brighter and has ALL the up-to-date slot machines and plenty of them. I recently visited Las Vegas and they didn't have all the newest games, so I was very impressed with Four Winds Casino selection of new slots. During my 6-day vacation, I came back to Four Winds numerous times and it wasn't boring any of the days. Payouts were large and frequent; you could play for hours without losing much and it wasn't overcrowded. It is a nonsmoking casino, but they do have a beautiful area indoors to go to and they will let you smoke outdoors.Food was pretty good at Timbers and was very good at the buffet. Tried to eat at Kankakee Grill, but no luck. It either was closed for the day or had awful dinner hours throughout the week.As for all the restaurants at Four Winds, well it was VERY tricky to find anything open after 9 pm during the week. (A bit better on weekends) As everything in New Buffalo closes early, many restaurants here have many "days NOT open" and constant changing of dining hours for each restaurant. It made it very hard and FRUSTRATING to get anything to eat after 9:30 pm. Timbers was a safe bet to find something to eat, but even they had their issues. Long lines to wait in because many of the other restaurants closed early and forced customers to Timbers. I waited over an hour to get a hamburger. So, unless the stars line up with the planets just right and/or you eat before 10 pm, make sure you have other plans for getting food. Actually, this is just nonsense and it needs to change. So, while the restaurants are not very promising or reliable, the main floor casino was very good. I enjoyed playing the games at Four Winds Casino and will do so again next year.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Four Winds Casino New Buffalo. It's a visually appealing casino and resort. We checked in via self-check-in which was quick and easy. Our room was affordable, nice, comfortable, and clean. Our room included an in-room safe and mini fridge. The Four Winds Casino is a spacious casino with a very large selection of slot machines, as well as table games. We play slots and enjoyed both the selection and availability of machines. We also won enough to keep playing which is what we strive for. The casino area was clean. They had a selection of complimentary Coca-Cola products, water, and coffee, as well as alcohol available for purchase. The Four Winds Casino has a selection of restaurants. We opted for Timbers Fast Food & Deli for a late pizza. They were very busy and although the staff was friendly, the man working the til was extremely slow and didn't seem like that was his forte. The pizza was affordable and good. They also have a very nice gift shop on the premise which also includes a few necessities/toiletries.Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Four Winds Casino New Buffalo. It's a very nice casino and resort that we would visit again!

Sarah Hook — Google review

Very inviting atmosphere and tastefully decorated for the holidays. Rooms were very nice, and beds were comfortable. While I really appreciated the smoke-free atmosphere of the casino proper, there was a lingering smell of cigarette smoke on our floor and in our "no smoking" room. We ended up needing to launder clothing we wore and that we took out of our suitcase. Our room overlooked the pool area, and while closed for the season, was decoratively lighted. This is certainly a place we would weekend at again.

The wife and i have been going up Sundays for a little gambling and lunch. The first few times I asked for a comp for lunch. No problem sir. Only $20 or so, nice gesture, today. Nope, sorry. Check back later maybe. Really? Asked later and it was like buying a used car. How about $8? Dropping like 6-800 in a couple hours and this is the thanks we get? Cmon four winds. Wont be back for a long while after that nonsense. Not like we wanted a hotel room or something.

David Thornburgh — Google review

The entire casino is like walking into a living morgue. It is extremely dark and depressing atmosphere. Smoking should also not be allowed as it is detrimental to one's health including non-smokers. I would not recommend.

Nadia — Google review

I genuinely don’t need to know anything about a casino and their immense greed past discovering that they, like many other greedy casinos, did something as simple as turning the ability to split and double on digital blackjack machines off. Some idiot with an MBA realized if they squeezed every single potential advantage, they’d shave a point or two extra away from their customers in a business that already guarantees insane profit. They do this all while reducing amenities like closing their late night food option at midnight on the weekend. Post covid greed gripped all casinos and this one is no exception.

Jeff Webb — Google review

Love this casino, it's definitely a beautiful experience right from the long entryway where you drive through a peacefully aesthetic forest scene that approaches the casino. You have a choice of the parking lot or parking garage. Once inside you are greeted with many options to start your stay. A small store with some clothing options, Starbucks, several dinning options depending on your budget, the tables and the slots. Non smoking including vapes but it's a small price to pay to not have to smell cigarettes and cigars next to your machine. There is an indoor area to smoke as well as designated areas outside. The self serve sodas (co*ke products) and coffee are usually always kept clean and are a great addition to the relaxed atmosphere. I love the fact that there's an expansive amount of slot machines, even on busy weekends you can usually find an area without 'bumping elbows' with other patrons if you aren't the type to enjoy someone right next to you. Always sign up for a membership card, there's sure to be an incentive like credit for food or gambling that comes with. Good luck!

I went to a concert. I am NOT a gambler, so this is just hotel and food. The beds are rock hard.NO SUNDAY MORNING BRUNCH BUFFET.Seriously, who does that? Weddings, parties, and no brunch? Monsters. We left the property early to find food.No pool in winter because, of course, the only one they have is outside.Otherwise, the water pressure was great. The event room was an intimate size without being stuffy. The concert was amazing.

Can't find a dress code anywhere on the website. However as a concert goer I'm dressed for a band I like. Got there early only to be told I'm not allowed to gamble on the floor 🤔 that's fine but maybe a little note before buying tickets or I don't know put out some more info about when doors open I checked the website and found nothing other than the start time.

Stayed in the hotel for a show. Impressed with security. Everything was clean. Shower was great. The beds are pretty stiff if you are used to cushion. They do not have a Sunday breakfast brunch. Missed opportunity for the weddings and concert crowds.

Fifi Keyser — Google review

Go here quite a bit but lately I've have been going to Gun Lake or Fire Keepers. At Fourwinds, it just seems like they have the machines tighter and you don't win that often. At least at the other places you can win enough to play and get entertained by the slots, even if you lose some.

We arrived May 10th for my 39th Birthday. My Fiance planned our weekend without me knowing lol. This was taken from 9th floor a beautiful view. The landscaping they did was beautiful lol I definitely have some ideas for my backyard thanks to the Resort.. The staff all have good attitudes and they make sure you have everything you need.. I never been to a Hotel Resort that had friendly staff even housekeeping that was getting rooms ready greeted us and welcomed us. I recommend this Hotel Resort if you need a getaway from all the daily stress from work and relax and enjoy the spa and the hot tub they have on the property or use the one in your room. And the king size beds oh man I slept like a baby lol. But we had a great time and enjoyed my Birthday weekend i also won some extra cash in the Casino. Four Winds thanks so much for giving us the Studio Suite! ☺

Nature & Parks

Warren Dunes State Park is a popular destination for those seeking stunning natural scenery and outdoor recreation opportunities. The park boasts impressive 260-foot-tall dunes that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Visitors can obtain a State Parks Recreation Passport to gain access to the park's best beaches, which are among the area's finest. Additionally, the park features over 300 acres of terrain with beech and maple forests that provide peaceful riverside hikes and ample space for picnicking.

Made a plan of hiking here Saturday morning of a trip to get the day started. I was sorely mistaken on how easy I thought this hike was gong to be. We choose to do the rectangle loop beginning at Nature Trailhead and walking down to the beach and back around. The dunes were awesome to hike! We got a tad lost trying to get back to our car because there aren’t many signs near the beach area. We thought it would be a five mile trail walk and ended up taking 2 hours and burned 800 calories. Overall, 10/10. Bring water and wear sunscreen! Saw a few people other and about, but it wasn’t super packed for a nice day.

Shayla Smith — Google review

Dune Hike is outstanding. It is 4 miles, most of it in moderate to deep sand. So start early when it is still cool. Hike takes you to the top of Mt. Randall and then over the lakeside dunes to the lake. The hike incorporates a long walk on the beach (~1 mi?) before taking you back into the dunes, finishing in a mature dune forest. The described route is counterclockwise on the loop which is recommended. Going counterclockwise allows you to do the most challenging climb first (up to the top of what I assume to be Mt. Randall, including a final 'summit' climb of about 100-120 feet elevation in steep and deep sand...take your time!) and then finish on packed sand in the woods. It is listed as "moderate" and I have no big beef with that description but there are some parts that are difficult so just prepare yourself. It is worth it because it is a beautiful hike in a beautiful park. Not trying to discourage but just keeping it real. It took us about 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete but we did frequently stop to enjoy the views and take some photos. If you were hustling you could probably get it done in an hour and a half. Not sure why you would want to hustle through that hike though because it is remarkably beautiful.

Christopher Brej — Google review

BEAUTIFUL!!! We went during early March when there wasn't many people around and wow I mean wow the dunes were so beautiful and the views oh my lord it's incredible. The hikes are brutal though and not for the faint of heart! Even during a cold March day we had to drink lots of water so be careful.

Steven T. — Google review

Really loved this beach! Took a day trip from Chicago (took about 1.5 hour without tolls) to enjoy the nice weather. It's chillier and windier on the beach than in the park, so I'd recommend being prepared for that. However, the beach was clean and surprisingly long with plenty of spots to hang out. The sand was soft on the beach and dunes, and the parking lots were equally large, providing generous parking capacity. Restrooms were clean and right between the beach and the parking lot. Admission to park for me (non-resident) was $10 and there's re-entry the same day. I can see this place really being a great getaway from the city during the summer, and if it were warmer, going in the lake would be quite refreshing. Highly recommend!

Addison Cahill — Google review

Very quiet and peaceful place. Spent time at the park to unwind after work and found it to be a great stop. Hiking the dunes is a great experience, but with moderately deep sand it can be strenuous so plan accordingly. Next to no waves the day I was there, just a beautiful sunset fading behind the calm waters of Lake Michigan. Definitely worth the trip!

Steve Johnson — Google review

Wonderful place! Completely enjoyed the 4 mile hike up the dunes. Tough hike so wear comfortable hike shoes and carry water and some snacks! Can't tell u how many people hiked it and were sick because they were dehydrated, so carry loads of water. Beautiful views from the top. $11 entrance fee for non residents. Totally worth it! Avoid weekends as it gets crowded. I went on a Wednesday so barely anyone there. Best go in the morning when it's cooler.

Jasmine — Google review

It's a great place to cool off. The dunes are also amazing! However, be forewarned that it gets CROWDED and some (most) people don't understand personal space. So if you're looking for a relaxing time - this is not it. It is LOUD and people will be on top of you. If you are like me (married, no kids) move down the beach as far as you can get and bring floats so you can go out past the bouys to get some sort of peace and quiet.

Hannah D. — Google review

$11 out of state day pass was well worth it. They only accept cash/check for entry.Climbing the dunes is a major highlight. Beautiful views on the hiking trail and the trail leads right to the lake in a loop style. There is also a section of the beach for dogs. Bring bug spray!

Angela Brown Appleberry — Google review

My daughter and I were visiting the area for Christmas weekend and we took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather. We visited Warren Dunes twice and just enjoyed the shoreline and scenery. She put her feet in the (COLD!!) water and I sat in my chair in the sand. It was quiet and beautiful and a really wonderful way to connect with nature. We go to the beaches and dunes a lot in the summer and they are always packed but it was so nice having practically the whole beach and state park to ourselves.

Valerie — Google review

This was the first State Park where there was an honor system self pay box. Please make sure you put your payment in the slotted square post behind the envelope holder, not back into the envelope holder. It was a little confusing at first but we got it figured out. The park pass is only $10 so make sure you have change, money order or a check. The receipt and window display can be detached from the envelope and kept.Visiting Warren Dunes was totally worth the perplexity.Parking was a breeze. Beach access is appx 100 yards down from the parking lot. Camping is permitted. There are plenty of new restroom facilities and a gift shop along the Dunes.Last but not least, Warren Dunes is absolutely beautiful!!

Coach Connie — Google review

We came here for the first time for a family reunion. The sites are all varied from small and private to larger and sunnier. The beach has plenty of parking, and there’s even a dog beach. There is a small store on site which has all camping needs. The surrounding town has a lot of places to eat as well. For those who make the trip to the top, the dunes offer a great view. Check with the site hosts for things to do - communal bonfires and such. The rangers do keep a close eye on those wandering the beach after it closes. The beaches were clean and sandy; there was a small ribbon of rocks/shells/algae, but nothing that was of concern. The campsites were clean, the bathrooms had plenty of stalls, running water, unisex, private shower rooms, and were stocked when were there. There was a whole crew out cleaning the bathrooms as we were leaving.

Jeannine Szostak — Google review

Absolutely worth a day trip here. The beach is clean, the water is beautiful and so much to do. $11 will get you entry. Large parking with two different lots. A food truck and slushie truck onsite so you don’t even have to leave. Lots to do here from enjoying the water, sunbathing and hiking. Beware, the steep terrain can tire you out. There’s also a creek with mud to play in. There’s restrooms and changing stations onsite right off the parking lot. This was worth the extra distance to come here over the Indiana Dunes. Well worth the trip and easy to make a day trip out of. It wasn’t overly busy for a Friday. Getting early allowed us to pick any spot we wanted.

I love Warren dunes…such a beautiful place for a family trip to the beach. There are big dunes for hiking and playing on and a beautiful beach for swimming and sunning. If you’ve got kids, the sand is good for building sand castles, but be careful as there is quite a bit of debris in the sand and there is a bit of rip tide in the water.Bathrooms are convenient, and there is a gift shop and food concessions.

Aj Sue — Google review

Beautiful hidden gem in southern Michigan. We barely even touched upon it's vastness. Definitely quite a hike walking through sand but well worth it. My daughter said it feels like you're on a different planet. Judging by the amount of paw prints in the sand I'd say this place is dog friendly. Just an all around great place to explore. We'll be heading back to explore more of this beauty in spring.

tracy lyon — Google review

A very special place, where the water meets the sand meets the forest. Really beautiful hikes and sweeping views. Plenty of parking but beware that the bathrooms are closed and the tables pit away for the winter.

Amanda Kilroe — Google review

A fun beach. I've never been when the beach wasn't clean. People are good about picking up after themselves. The water is always chilly. The dunes are fun. It's nice that you walk up as far as you want then run down vs running down then having to climb back up like sleeping bear.Restrooms are always clean. There is a fee to get in. If we didn't have the pass I'd still be ok paying it since the amenities are well kept up.Overall, a fun place to just hangout and have fun or relax.

Marsha Ann K — Google review

We went on the 4th of July and I really thought it would be more crowded than it was. We found some decent real-estate near the water and weren't encroached upon at all (other than by a greedy seagull, but that's another story). The water was very clear and was already close to 70 degrees (F), which made swimming a real treat in the heat of the day. The sandbar isn't too far out and makes for a great escape if the water at the shore gets a little too rambunctious. You'll notice some folks walking around covered in clay (like something out of National Geographic). You can, and should, find out why. Follow the little stream up into the woods (I highly recommend using the foot path, but if you prefer to slog through the water that's cool too). This will lead you to a spot where you can scrape clay out of the walls of the riverbank and cover yourself up in fresh earth. There is a pretty big hill to climb that gives a great view of everything around, also. It's worth the trek up there around sunset to really appreciate the natural beauty of the lake itself. All in all it was an enjoyable experience for all of us. I do wish people would clean up after themselves, but that has nothing to do with the dunes themselves, so I won't hold it against them.

We enjoy driving places and finding surroundings in the area to visit!! After a trip to New Buffalo beach we discovered this hidden gem for $11 parking and you can literally spend the entire day here and adventure!! My 12 year old daughter and I conquered the dune and my wife watched us from halfway and got some great pics!! It's totally worth the try and the bathrooms are cleanly, the park is well policed and very safe and the gift shop has every need you would have while on site at a State Park!! WOW WOW WOW!! We loved it and will be back for another visit shortly!!

My wife and I love supporting Michigan made products and decided to try the Blueberry flavored wine. I myself am not a wine drinker, my wife had not even a half of a glass and later started to feel horrible. Everyone in the home had the same meal while my wife added a glass of wine, she started complaining of severe stomach pains and subsequently ended up hovering over the toilet for several hours throwing up. Maybe the blueberries went south, unfortunately this will be the only experience we will have with Round Barn Winery.

Really enjoyed the trail system and the variety of drinks! Spirits, wine, and other items on the menu! The live music was so nice to have with the drinks. It’s really great that the property is split into different areas so you can either sit at a table and listen to music or play corn hole and other games on the other side.

Beautiful location with so many options for seating and they had live music when we arrived. Had looked forward to wine tasting but with all the wines pre-selected we opted not to do a tasting, as we would rather pick out our own tasting flight. It was a beautiful day and there was a market when we arrived which was a fun shopping surprise. Great wine choices and Round Barn is one of my favorite stops on the wine trail.

Teresa Lynnette — Google review

Wasn’t expecting the Round Barn Winery to be such a happening place. It’s family friendly, which I thought was great since my daughter has a 6 week old baby and we were celebrating her 26th Birthday. They offer cabanas, but they need to be reserved. Live music that can be heard throughout the venue, bags or some may call it corn hole, wine flights and drinks. It’s also pet friendly.Bring your lawn chairs if you’d like, or a blanket, a football or frisbee and enjoy the free entertainment with your family or friends.I’m a wine drinker and what I didn’t like was that they didn’t have a “Wine Tasting” per say. You could buy a flight if 4 for $15.

Dawn Graves (DawnG) — Google review

Wine was phenomenal. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly in helping us with wine selection. Got 2 flights each ( 6 pours each) for $24. Was able to mix and match wines, spirits, and beer as well which many establishments don't allow. Wine was fantastic. Highly recommend and I don't understand why this place sits at a 4 star rating.

This is a very unique place to visit! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I enjoyed looking at the bright flowers! I am not a wine drinker, but my friends really loved the wine (and slushies!) We took a short hike on the trails to check out the vines, and it was a gorgeous and scenic mini-hike.

Kimberly Stanbridge — Google review

Absolutely beautiful property! The barn is incredible and the grounds are definitely worth checking out! There’s live music even in the afternoons. There is so much to see. Their wines are all amazing! Especially their Peach Sangria! We will definitely be visiting them again! The staff are so helpful and kind. We were so impressed!

Michelle Parrish — Google review

I was very excited to attend the sangria event. I drove 45 minutes to get there about 30 minutes before the event started. They stated first 50 would get a free growler. I was in the line and was maybe 10th in line. At 11am they informed everyone that there would now be two lines. One for cards and one for cash. So the majority of people that were behind me went into the cash line. Due to this change and me not having cash I did not receive a growler due to the cash line moving a lot faster than the card line. I was highly disappointed in this experience. The food came out cold as well.

Kayla Buras — Google review

We had a great experience at around Barn winery. The igloos are confortable and let you enjoy the surroundings with your favorite wine from their winery. The food, sold at their food truck, is simple but good enough to complement the rest of the experience. The store has quality merchandise, perfect for gifts or souvenirs.Although marketed towards adults (it is a winery, after all), I would recommend the experience for people all ages.

Andi — Google review

Limited flight options. Had to a different stand to receive food. The bathroom trailer was big clean but not well stocked. Sinks were not working.

Diane Baki-Wuethrich — Google review

Went for an event where they had free growlers for the first 50 people. We waited for 20 minutes and were within the first 10 people there. Last second they opened a cash line and we ended up not getting the free growler. Food was cold and the wine is just ok.

Updated Review: Round Barn is great for a quick day trip from Chicago. It's set in a wooded are surrounded by grape vines. It had plenty of OUTDOOR seating and snacks to have with your wine! Indoor seating is hard to get so plan to be outside. I didn't even attempt to buy bottles of wine this time. Lol I'm updating my rating from a 1 to a 3****I really hope I could do two separate reviews because I had two very different experiences today. The first in the outdoor bar area: the servers were great, helpful and funny. My friend and I had a flight of sweet wine and a couple glasses. We loved it so much that we wanted to bring some bottles home. You may be wondering why the one star? Well, the bottles are sold in the gift shop. My friend and I were ready to make our purchase and leave. I was holding her things and checking out the wine. I asked the man working in the gift shop to help me find the wine I liked. He pointed at it. I asked if he could bring some to the register for me and he made a face and scoffed at me. I told him that my hands were full (I shouldn't have bc just general courtesy and hospitality is to be expected at ANY business) but I told him I would do it myself once my hands were free. I contemplated not buying anything at all but decided to put my feelings aside. I went to the register and he said, "I just want you to know that it wasn't a bother to grab the bottles for you." I said, "it didn't feel that way. What's your name?" And he said, "It's none of your business." That is how you lose customers. I would have raved about my experience and brought wine home to share with friends and made plans to head back out soon but, it's none of my business. There was no management on site according to the lady at the bar.

Monica Rojas — Google review

Round Barn is definitely worth a visit! The grounds are so beautiful, you can explore the buildings, vineyards, and wooded trails. They offer a wide variety of wines and drinks and the food trucks were soo good! There is plenty of space to sit, relax and explore. We loved our visit and will be back!

CC — Google review

Was a decent place to have a wine tasting. Prices are a bit steep and no more tasting in the round barn which kind of put a damper on the experience. But overall a nice place an atmosphere with live music.

Jason Popp — Google review

This is my opinion and I know others will disagree. This opinion is solely on the guest experience at the main location and not regarding the actual wines. The wines are still pretty good.Round Barn Winery for me used to be the first place to go for an amazing wine experience. I still have my sample wine glasses from 13 years ago that you would purchase to go and sample wine, head over to the barn building and enjoy a nice beer or sample beer. For me, the past few years, Round Barn has gone DOWN hill and turned into more of a “carnival” type atmosphere. Now, trying a sample of wine and having amazing staff that would talk about the notes and pairings has turned into a preselected flight at the outdoor container building or “food trailer.” For me, this place does not know what it wants to be, but only seems to be money first (yes, I know it’s a business) and lost the true guest experience that once made this place amazing.I do enjoy some of their wines but ever since this place decided to buy the neighboring and classy Tabor Hill (Which has also gone down hill over the years) this place will always be a unorganized carnival that lost its charm. Please bring back the some of the charm that once made this place the destination to go to in SW Michigan. Again, just my opinion.

Jeff Price — Google review

What an absolute delight. My fiancé and I came on a Thursday, mid afternoon. It wasn’t busy, which didn’t come as a surprise as most of their business would come from the weekends, however the staff was extremely attentive and helpful. After some light deliberation we selected a spirit flight and the sweet flight. The options provided within the flight were absolutely perfect. The outdoor seating, within the right weather, is an amazing experience. The best drink we had was definitely the Black Walnut Cream was the best tasting drink either of us have ever had, I would whole heartedly recommend to anyone, even if you’re not heavily into alcohol. We will definitely have to come back for a second visit!

Water & Amusem*nt Parks

Classic restored merry-go-round with painted animals & music from a vintage band organ.

Great family friendly place. The carousel was wonderful, and the train setups, child scale cars, and Lego tables made it very fun for us.

Always a wonderful experience at Silver Beach Carousel! Today we thoroughly enjoyed the time taken to beautifully decorate for Mardi Gras. It was impressive! And we enjoyed the Lego displays by local SW Michigan children and the WMLUG! Amazing!

Nikki Papalambros — Google review

Most beautiful carousel EVER! We were there in October and got to see bonus Halloween decorations as well. Outstanding!!! 🙌🏼

Jessica Davies — Google review

A must visit!!! One of the absolute coolest carousels in the country, maybe the world! A ride is affordable and a lot of fun. The carousel is very well maintained, structurally sound, authentic and quite festive. The line is never too long and there are plenty of fun things to look at and interact with while waiting. Often times, they will also have bean bag toss (cornhole) and side walk chalk right outside the surrounding glass doors. The carousel is also attached to the Curious Kid's Museum Discovery Zone, which is great for kids ~age 2-6. Bathrooms are VERY nice and clean.

James R. Winfree, Jr. — Google review

The carousel is a bit pricey, but it's a lovely ride. We enjoyed seeing all the unique animals on it and there were lots of good places for adults who aren't riding to sit. They sell some concessions, but it's all circus food - popcorn, cotton candy, etc. There's a Zoltar machine and a terrifying box containing "laughing sal" (pictured)

Melody DuVal — Google review

Very rude elderly volunteers. We have been here many times before and have never had an issue until today. We had an enjoyable experience next door at Discovery Zone and the staff there were fantastic! But the way we were treated by the staff at the carousel was enough not to come back. They are working with mostly children and their parents and should have a better attitude towards the public if they are going to volunteer in that setting.

Alexa Rambo — Google review

Great place for kids, it is a beautiful carousel.

Charles Sweeney — Google review

Beautiful carousel at the heart of a renewed recreational area. The carousel is inside. There are lots of kid friendly things to do, and lots of rockets to sit and watch from. Not sure how much it is to ride, but watching is free.

MF Vinson — Google review

What a magical day we had! My son's first carousel ride. We reserved a ticket in advance for the one hour slot. We rode every ride for the entire hour and my son was so excited and overjoyed. The staff is amazing, kind, knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and fun! The carousel is in such impeccable shape. Do this, and then head to the beach for a dip - you won't regret it!

Amanda Wilson-Langel — Google review

Beautiful carousel. The staff is fantastic and so sweet. If you are solo as a parent an attendant will ride with you to help out for smaller children. They even hand out coloring pages. Lovely experience.

Lauren Martin — Google review

Attended a reading event through the Berrien County Parent Coalition and my children got a free carousel ride for wearing costumes! I was visibly nervous (not a fan of carousels) so a worker generously offered to stand by my youngest child to ensure her safety while I took photos. They had a great time and loved the experience!

Gwenevere Mueller — Google review

We had our wedding reception at the Shadowland Ballroom and rented the carousel for one hour during the event. It was FANTASTIC!The staff is great to work with and were excellent communicators leading up to the event. We had 150 guests (all older than 21) and the carousel was a hit. We did our rental from 8:00-9:00pm, so right after we finished dinner at 6:45, we did the first dance, mother / son, father / daughter dances, and went straight out to the carousel to do our professional photos before opening it up to guests.I liked that timeline because guests could get a drink or two in them first before enjoying the ride. Photos on the carousel did take longer than I expected, so the full hour was pretty necessary. If you’re debating whether or not to book the carousel for your event, I recommend you go ahead and do so. It’s super fun! And as a bonus they give you 60 free ride tokens at the end. We’re including them in our thank you cards!Ben Pancoast was our photographer and did an INCREDIBLE job!! Park

Outdoor Activities

Silver Beach County Park is a lovely area located alongside Lake Michigan, featuring a wide beach that offers various exciting activities like beach volleyball. The park also includes an event pavilion and pier access, making it an ideal location for entertainment and leisure. Children can have fun at the spray park fountains or indoor carousel while enjoying delicious pies served by Silver Beach Pizza in an old train depot.

Beautiful park that fronts Lake Michigan with stunning view of lighthouses and piers. Playground for kids. Beach volleyball courts, concession stand, bathrooms, paved trail connecting to Howard family Trail. Paid parking is limited in season. Beautiful sunsets and walking distance to many other local attractions. No dogs in beach but allowed in paved trail.

Sue Burkhard — Google review

Perfect as always. The town is great. Wonderful shops and food throughout. Pizza by the splash pad is a must and fishing the inlet never disappoints. The beach is always busy but with plenty of parking and room for others. Has good hills to ride and skate while being mindful of others. No signs posted at all and the boardwalk has plenty of room for everyone walking or riding. They have a beach house with ice cream and all the beach needs. The atmosphere is always great. Highly recommend this place.

Joe Coulter — Google review

I hung out at the beach pretty much all day on September 23rd. I took in the beautiful weather and the sound of the waves as the boats passed by out in the distance. My goal was to catch the sunset. But before settling to do this I hit up two wineries and did some wine tasting..Dawn became dusk and I was able to catch a beautiful sunset at around 7:30pm. The weather was perfect. The people were pleasant. The wine was delicious. The booths set up selling cheeses, fruits, vegetables, and arts and crafts was a nice surprise..Silver Beach Pizza was good too!

SAM OESTERREICH (Oesfreelancing) — Google review

Always relaxing when taking a stroll on the pier at Silver Beach. Any season is a stop and walk treat. Beautiful views which will include stunning sunsets most every evening year round.

Lovely beach for a simple hang out to chill and spend time with family and friends. Sand is clean and soft. There is a playground, and some swings. Decent eateries within walking distance of 10 minutes. Head over earlier for a warmer experience - it gets chilly as the sun goes down.

we stopped after some time at the local winery and some Kilwin's ice cream and enjoyed the sights and sounds of October on the beach!! At least 4 surfers were out to enjoy the waves and it gives you time to stop and think about how important the little things in life truly are!! Silver Beach County Park has our hearts forever!!!

Beautiful views. Amazing splash pad. Easy parking and wonderful beach on Lake Michigan. Great little shops, cute downtown, great coffee and chocolates! We will be back to spend some time here next summer.

This was my mine and my husband's first time here and we'll definitely be going back. We ate at Silver Beach Pizza and it was some of the best pizza we've ever had. We took our chairs and sat close to the tide coming in and I walked along the beach collecting rocks, which I found some pretty cool ones.

Stephanie Buffington — Google review

Lovely beach, great spot to see the sunset. In season the parking is a little expensive, particularly if you just want to stop by for a walk or something. Not dog friendly. Silver beach pizza is good, but gets super busy in the summer months so be prepared to wait for both tables to eat in and take out.The walk down the pier is worth it, it’s a nice view out to the lake and back to wards the beach. Lots of things for the kids to do and play on, plus volleyball etc. it’s super nice to walk down the beach and pier in the winter and see all the ice and snow

Simon E — Google review

Wonderful find less than thirty miles from South Bend. We enjoyed a walk along the pier and an ice cream at cabanas which was delicious. There is a shopping street called State Street when you get done with the beach. Awesome destination for an afternoon away from Academia.

Richard Hughes — Google review

Very good beach. You will have to pay $15 to park right next to the beach, but it is free on the street. There is a very nice fountain play area, a playground, and lots of volleyball nets. The beach has very soft sand, and the lake is not too deep approximately 50 feet from the shore.

Vince & Mina — Google review

Great beach. It's clean. Not enough parking, so parents with young children beware. There might be some walking. There is a restaurant near the beach, bonus so you don't travel far for food. The beach can get crowded towards the afternoon. Parents with younger kids best to be there before 2 pm. Easier to track your children with less people around. No dogs are allowed on the beach.

Y O-Mor — Google review

Good beach. No sharks, no jellyfish, freshwater and nice sand.Right on the beach (in the sand close): Restrooms, Swings, 9 sand volleyball courts, snack shack, playground, water rentals and life guards.Real close to the beach: Parking, Spray water park, restaurant, lighthouse, pier, carousel (open Fri-Sun).Tourist friendly little town a little further walk with plenty of shops and restaurants.Parking right on beach is $15 all day. Free all day parking is a 5 minute walk.

Charles Miller — Google review

We didn't actually get into the water but we did walk along the beach. It's a nice quiet area. Plenty of seating. They have 2 parking options. 1 is about a blocks walk give or take for free & the other is right on the beach $15/day, which is a great price. The beach was well kept & the view was nice also! The beach is located right in the downtown area that has a nice strip of boutiques, restaurants, wine bars & sweet treats. We visits Buck for lunch, DK Boutique for their 50% off pandora sale & I also grabbed some cute fedoras that were on sale. We did tastings @ White Pine winery & Ballerina Winery also. Can't wait to return for another day trip.

I'm a walker, 3+ miles a day. If I'm not playing golf or swimming in my swim spa, my favorite place to walk is Silver Beach. I'm a trained lifeguard when we had a cabin at Huntington Beach, California. I was a "Surfer Girl" and planned to save myself. I did save several folks along the way. When I'm walking at Silver Beach I'm always looking for someone to save. A few months ago I convinced a kid who was about to go pier diving by himself, not to go. I always sit near the lifeguard station when the lifeguards return to school at the end of the summer. I look at the ring and bouys on the station and am ready to save someone. I'm in my 70's now, but I'm always ready to save someone.

Eileen Chapman — Google review

Nice park that combines the beach with some walking paths, a pier, a splash pad, lots of cool art, and connects to the downtown with some great food choices. If you park closer to downtown and walk down the steps there are plenty of free options to park.

Lighthouses

2 iconic, historic lighthouses on a breakwater with an elevated catwalk & dramatic sunset views.

My husband and I have made it a mission to visit every lighthouse in Michigan. This one did not disappoint at all. The walk out to the lighthouse was peaceful and the waves crashing made for a even more peaceful walk. The views are breathtaking. Definitely worth the visit.

Summer Case — Google review

There is a pay parking here. No entry fee. You can walk all the way to the lighthouses for nice pictures. Part of the walk does NOT have protection rails and you enter at your own risk.

Awesome place for sunset. The boardwalk is nice and long. The lighthouses are pretty. Lake Michigan can get crazy and the waves were no joke when we were here lol.

The St. Joseph North Pier Inner Lighthouse is a beautiful and historic landmark located in St. Joseph, Michigan. This lighthouse was built in 1907 and has been a beacon for ships and boats entering the harbor for over a century. The lighthouse is located on the north pier of the St. Joseph River and is surrounded by beautiful views of the lake and the city. It is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike, and is a great place to take a walk and enjoy the scenery. The lighthouse itself is a beautiful white structure with a red roof and a black lantern on top. It is well-maintained and in excellent condition, and is a great example of the architecture of the early 20th century. The interior of the lighthouse is not open to the public, but visitors can still get a glimpse of the inside through the windows. The lighthouse is also a great spot for photography and is a popular location for wedding and engagement photos.Overall, the St. Joseph North Pier Inner Lighthouse is a must-see for anyone visiting St. Joseph. It is a beautiful and historic landmark that offers great views and a glimpse into the past. It is a great place to take a walk and enjoy the scenery, and is a great spot for photography. Highly recommend visiting this landmark.

We visited here in October of 2020. This lighthouse and beach area were very beautiful. You do have to pay to park unless you find street parking. When walking down to the lighthouse please be careful because the waves tend to crash over the walk way. My daughter and I enjoyed the views and sounds of the water. It was peaceful.

Water & Amusem*nt Parks

Safari-themed indoor water park at the Fairfield Inn & Suites features 2 large water slides.

We had a great time! Perfect for our 4 and 5 year olds and convenient for us. The pool area and hotel were very clean. The room was very nice and comfortable. Staff in both areas were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the food was kept hot. Price was fair and you can get a discount signing up with rewards through Marriott. We will definitely be returning for frequent overnight mini-vacations as we live only 2 hours away.

I've been calling there for several months and the water park is still closed. I doubt the arcade is up and running yet either. I've been really wanting to take my Kids there but unfortunately after this long and always getting excuses about the water park needing parts and they still haven't came in yet tells me that it's more than likely never going to reopen. Everything I call whichever month it is they always say they expect it to be ready at the end of the month. Yeah okay! Also management doesn't answer emails

I was super hesitant after reading a lot of pretty bad reviews but here's the facts, based on our experience in August 2018 on a Saturday:1. Plenty of towels UNTIL approx 3pm. See photo of empty towel rack at 3302. Water was indeed cool in the slide half. Too cold for me but we were there so our 11 and 13 year old could have fun and they didnt complain.3. Water on the baby half was really nice and warm. We all played in it for a while. My sons really had a blast.4. I agree that the hot tub wasn't super hot.5. I am HAPPY kids aren't allowed in hot tub. Kids get to play in the entire place, let the adults have 8 feet of peace.6. Kids loved the slides. Even hubby went down a bunch of times.7. There is NOT food. they told us we are welcome to bring our own and eat upstairs. Theres a subway and taco bell right across the street! What could be better than taco bell IN a water park?!8. All of the games worked. They did run out of tickets while we were playing9. Staff was super nice.10. There were several lifeguards plus front desk staff. They were all attentive. We did see a guard jump in the water to help a child and the female guard even gave my son a push to get him going fast down the lazy river. I thought this was super cool.11. Bathrooms were fine.12. No problem getting a locker.13. I would absolutely go back.

Tori Thompson — Google review

The place is completely shutdown. They told us for renovations but there was not a single renovation going on. Still charged three hundred a night. No cleaning service as well. The staff was the only good thing there. They are all completely wonderful but whoever owns this thing is using covid to the extreme to make money and provide no services. Other hotels in the area at least have a pool open and are serving hot breakfasts. Look around, better hotels in the area offering more.

Dan Buehrer — Google review

I enjoyed the waterpark opening back up. It was a total blast. My only complaint is the fact that the kids water and lazy river water was colder than my liking honestly. Definitely want to come back just want the water to be warmer. I strongly urge that be handled and adjusted accordingly.

The website has almost no information, and calling sends you to a call center most of the time. The water park itself was lots of fun with plenty to do. My kids, ages 7 to 12, had a great time. The staff was attentive, the water temperature was good, and there were not too many people there. I thought the lighting was a little dim, the bathrooms needed attention, and the parking lot was pretty run down. Overall, I think it was a good trip and worth it, but the place could use a little more attention to really be spectacular.

Elijah Ricks — Google review

Pretty cool for what it is, it's mainly for children. They do have a Jacuzzi for adults , little arcade. Pretty small, they have two slides that are pretty nice. They do run out of towels rather quickly, and they only have so many inner tubes, beyond that it was pretty fun. when coming to a place like this you can't be over critical , you're not paying $200 a night

Sebastian Murphy — Google review

My wife and I booked a king suite for us and our 1 year old daughter for Saturday to Sunday night. It was almost perfect for a quick trip. We got to check in early at 2:00 o clock, and had all day passes to the water park. The water park was great for my 1 year old. We went down the slides together, and I went down the big ones a couple times. Definitely for kids, so expect them to be there and it be loud. I thought it was a perfect little spot. Hotel room was nothing spectacular, but the hotel staff is very helpful and very kind. Breakfast was very good for being free. Couldn’t of really asked for a better trip. My only flaw is the location doesn’t have much around it. Basically Taco Bell, and Casey’s Gas Station. Also the room didn’t have a microwave, so had to go to the lobby for babies bottle. I would HIGHLY recommend this is if you kids, they will absolutely love the water park. Get the room and park package, it’s a fantastic deal for what you get.By the way the water park was very clean from what I could tell, which was a biggie for us.

Chad Weddle — Google review

The price is good for the experience. But the lifeguards are on their phones the whole time. No one is enforcing any rules. My kid is pretty responsible at 9 she mentioned that they let kids go down head first and under the height requirements (which she thought was great haha) If you are an attentive parent this is great. But if you want a place where you can read while the kids have fun this is not the place. No one is paying any attention.

Amanda Schuitema — Google review

This is a hidden gem! It was wonderful and there’s so much for the kids to do. We enjoyed the water slides & especially the lazy river. The Cafe wasn’t open despite it being a busy weekend (went in January, 2020). Nicely located and adjoins to the hotel. The hotel had a really nice breakfast that was included and had a full array of breakfast food & beverages. I didn’t care for the pool life jackets and would probably see if you can bring your own for smaller kids.

The staff is absolutely friendly. The water park is amazing and well-kept. Everything is the best I could have ever hoped for and I've got a lot of experiences with indoor water parks

This place is very cozy, clean and safe. The facility is small and perfect for our family. The manager greeted us with a smiling face and respectfully and kindly reminded each family of the rules before entering, which I REALLY appreciated. He walked through the facility speaking to families, employees and did safety checks. The water temperature was great, warm for the kids and the big pool is not even 4ft so my kids could swim without floaties. The only thing I was disappointed with was the jacuzzi and that was because max temperature was 100 degrees. I am sure there is some stipulation, not a huge deal. We'll be back for sure.

So glad the Waterpark is opened back up! The entire place is clean well lit with friendly staff! Everything looked amazing! The new people running it have done an amazing job! 10/10 will be back

Came in with my daughter and her friend on Friday evening, got a night pass just to swim and these new owner are simply amazing! So kind and attentive. Everything is super clean! Happy to have a little getaway close to home again! Thanks again for the kindness! We will be back soon!

Our family weekend at Surfari Joes Waterpark was an absolute blast! The park offered a perfect mix of excitement for all ages. From the kiddie pools for the little ones to the thrilling slides that kept the older kids and adults entertained, there was never a dull moment. The family-friendly environment, clean facilities, and attentive staff made the experience even more enjoyable. Surfari Joes proved to be a fantastic destination for creating lasting memories with loved ones.

We gave it 1 more shot. The restrooms were VERY unsanitary, the water was cold and the hot tub was gross. I purchased a "session" that indicated 5-8:30 in my email confirmation and after an hour drive was told 5:30 was the session start time so employees could have a break. We left an hour after arrival. 30 minutes in the lazy river was a 75 dollar lesson learned. I hope they work out the kinks but we'll not return. Best of luck to them.

scarlettawnya — Google review

So disappointed that no one bothered to mention that the park that lists only being open until 6 online but we were told that it was open til 8 at the entrance failed to mention it would be shutting down for an hour 5 minutes after we entered the water. With a 6 year old granddaughter with behavioral problems this was a way bigger deal than it was for my teens. When I pointed out to the girls collecting tubes the blonde girl was tremendously condescending rather than acknowledging that yes, we should have been told that. And the family room package is supposed to include a fold out couch in the room which was mysteriously missing.

We went for their "spring break special". We made reservations and requested joining rooms. Then called to make sure it was possible. Also called the day of our reservation, still good to go at that point. We had 2 adults and 7 kids. When we arrive they had totally messed up our reservations and there were no joining rooms available/ clean because house keeping left for the day. So they shuffled some things around and gave us rooms across the hall from each other. No biggie. That evening we went to dinner and notice that they charged us for a 3rd room. And when we spoke to the guy at the desk, he just wanted to gaslight us and tell us we messed up our reservations. I offered to show him the confirmation emails for the rooms to prove it wasn't our fault but he didn't wanna see them. To compensate they offered the kids a few free snacks. Also, when we called the said we get all day passes to the Waterpark on date of check out. Welp we got kicked out at 1pm. Place is marginal at best. We won't go back. You can't check in til 4pm Waterpark closes at 8pm. Waste of time and money.

David Johnson — Google review

Cannot check in until exactly 3 p.m. rooms are clean. Not enough food for the free breakfast, they brought out limited supplies. They kept running out 1 hour into it. Didn't have enough pool towels. Management rude. Bathrooms were not cleaned the whole time we were there. Our bathroom, in room, smelled like a gas leak happened, in the middle of the night. Seems like they just didn't care

David Foster — Google review

The new management is pretty awesome. Our stay initially started with some rocky areas. We had some complications with our room, and we had to notify management. They took our concerns very seriously. They seemed like they cared and did what they could to make our stay feel comfortable. At first, I was a little hesitant about coming back, but now, knowing the kindness that the staff exemplifies, my family and I will be making a return visit soon. Kids loved to water park. Thanks, Peachtree staff! And thank you, Sam! You are an awesome guy, and I'm glad the hotel is in your care.

Craig Cubbage — Google review

This place is horrible! Absolutely terrible not worth the money and here is whySlide are rarely open, the water is nasty. Unsupervised kiddos doing cannon balls in the hot tub, never any towels so dont forget to bring your own, the pre-teens they have hired to run the desk are all rude, definitely wont be coming back !

Stephanie rankin — Google review

The indoor waterpark would have been fun if it wasn't soooooo cold!!! The air was chilly and the water was cold! We quickly figured out the reason for it. Under what looked like a painted garage door was a pretty big crack where the cold outdoor air came in freely. I took pictures. Hopefully they will fix it, otherwise it's not worth going there.

Mia Berg — Google review

Staff seems confused about what 8s t9 be done. The front desk says one thing, and the staff for Waterpark says another. The water park was clean, but the bathrooms frequently had no tolite paper. They did stop all.play for an hr every 3 hours to clean. Rooms were good-sized and well put together. Bathroom needs work. The floor and shower wall were cracked and rust from what must have been a leak on the frame of the door. Staff was super courteous.

We were greeted by a kind woman who was more than willing to help us. The facility is very clean, prices are well placed and sale items are right in front for you to see as you come in. As we were getting ready to check out, we were told about the wine club, and it is a great way to try new or favorite wines! We were even offered a sample!! We are so excited to come back for events and to purchase more local wines!

I have been to this winery several times and have generally had a nice experience, but last night was totally different. We came for wine tasting and were able to get a spot easily at the tasting bar, however none of the employees greeted us or would even make eye contact with us. It was a little busy and they were helping others around us and we don't mind waiting, but it doesn't cost a thing to be friendly and say "welcome, we'll be with you in a minute." Nothing. We waited for 15 minutes while three of them behind the bar walked back and forth in front of us never acknowledging us or even giving us a tasting menu so we could start picking out our choices while we waited. We felt invisible and unwelcome. We would have left if we hadn't driven so far just to come here. We were finally helped and we watched other customers be ignored as well as they waited patiently. We watched one of the employees behind the bar polish glasses and restock shelves while customers waited. I know they see all of us, but why are they being so blatantly rude? I don't understand. Do you not rely on your customers? I had every intention of buying a case of wine after the tasting, but after the horrible customer service and total disregard to all the customers, I left empty handed. I will probably never come here again. Very poor experience. No matter how busy you are, there is no excuse for treating people like this ever!

Hiking Trails

Rode this for the second time this year and overall it’s a great trail. It’s maintained well with tons of things to look at while you ride. The first half mile or so is paved then becomes hard packed fine gravel. There are rest rooms along the way but I can’t tell you how they are. I did however see one being cleaned so there’s that. There are numerous road crossings so mind the stop signs. I will say keep an eye out for the chipmunk holes along the trail. Those will jar you enough to make you want to stomp every little guy you can catch.

John kyler — Google review

This trail is past its prime and in need of maintenance and repair. Michigan is naturally sandy, and as the surface of the trail erodes, it becomes more sandy. It may be fine for day riders with fat tire bikes, but if you’re a through rider doing the Great Lake to Lake route with a loaded bike, you’ll struggle with the trail surface. The trail runs through some really beautiful areas and there’s plentiful shade, which is nice. Don’t expect any services on the trail — you have to go off into nearby towns for water and restrooms.

Kelli R. — Google review

It was a great day for this trail. Everything here is great with the exception of one thing. You can see I'm the photos were the wooden path on the water is rotting and deteriorating, which is hazard for small children and heavy adults. One of the items that really stood out is the two fire pits asking the trail. It's a great place to stop for a break.

Very nice, beautiful, tranquil.....I will come back......I would like to try the hike, from South Haven Michigan to Kalamazoo Michigan...here is just a few pics, only went a about a little over a mile in...

Beautiful no matter where you start from. Benches along the way to stop and rest, even a tree shelter built of sticks. Perfect for the serious biker runner or walker as well as for leisure biking and walking alone or with family.

Avenging Angel — Google review

We had a great time biking this trail. Nice and packed, not very sandy. Pretty level as well so not very difficult to bike. Very relaxing ride. Pretty busy. We went on a Saturday.

Taya V — Google review

Wonderful bike trail worth visiting. It’s from south haven that goes further towards Kalamazoo. Part of it was paved but towards Grand Junction path was narrow and mostly gravel. It has scenic view and mostly flat surface biking with old bridge and some historic sites. It’s a good ride for bikers who enjoys long rides with serene outdoor feel!

Anneiv Esqui — Google review

Nice trail lots of shade , smooth very small crushed rock great for any kind of bikes 39 miles long South Haven,Mi to Kalamazoo Mi and just opened 9-12-19 the trail now goes 275 miles all the way to Lake Huron from South Haven.

A beautiful, well maintained trail through the countryside of SW Michigan stretching from South Haven to Kalamazoo. Great for biking, walking, running or just getting out into nature. Highly recommend visiting in the fall as this is the best place to view the changing colors.

Beautiful trail! We left straight from south haven and rode out a couple miles and back to town. Very well maintained. Mostly gravel path but I had my road bike and the path is smooth enough for my skinny tires. Some good variety of flat land and also hills.

Fenn Valley Vineyards is a long-established family-owned winery that offers wine tastings, tours, and wine-pairing dinners. The venue provides both private areas for tastings and public spaces at the bar. Visitors can choose from a wide range of delicious wines, with options to purchase bottles to take home. Guests rave about the lovely location and excellent service provided by friendly staff members such as Denise.

What a wonderful experience! Our party had a private area for the wine tasting and meat and cheese platter. The service was to much and the location was simply lovely!!!!! The only "problem" , if you will, is choosing from all of the delicious wine offerings to take home. Yes, we will be back.

We reserved a spot for wine tasting online. It was $10 per person and we got our own table and 7 tastings. It also comes with a $5 off coupon when you buy 4 bottles of wine. We ordered the charcuterie which was a great deal for how much food you get, and yummy! Also, there was live music on the lawn and great prices on the glasses of wine! Beautiful place! Definitely will be going again!

Caryl was so kind and helpful. Such a beautiful day and she suggested sitting outside. She even had me try some new wine that I absolutely loved.Got a charcuterie board and it was so wonderful. Highly recommend coming to this place.

A suggestion from my boss' wife. They had an event but we were still able to do a wine tasting at the 'bar'. Denise assisted us and she was very pleasant. We tried 7 different samples (technically 14, 7 each) and had some hits and misses. We did bring 4 bottles home with one being a gift for the suggesty. Nice experience and some decent wines.

Fantastic place for wine tasting at a great price. They have a good selection of wines and hard ciders and they charcuterie...very tasty. The grounds are inviting so you can sit outside( in the shade or in the sun) and sip your wino.

The wine is 5 stars but the place is kind of boring inside. If it's nice weather I recommend sitting outside, since the grounds are nicer than being inside.

Fenn Valley Winery offers a fantastic experience:1. The location is stunning, creating a picturesque atmosphere.2. Private spaces make it perfect for parties and gatherings.3. The diverse and reasonably priced selection of wines caters to various tastes.4. Membership perks, earned through purchases, include free tastings and discounts, enhancing the overall value.

Fenn Valley has some really good wines. Great venue. Delicious charcuterie. We took the vinyard tour and enjoyed tasting the grapes along with the wine from that grape. Aaron was a lot of fun and taught us so much during our tour. Highly recommend!

Amy Wagner — Google review

The hubby and I have been wine club members here for a while, and absolutely love the wine; BUT we love coming in for a glass because we ADORE the staff. Everyone is so down to earth, and caring, and clearly love what they do - which is introducing the rest of us to the latest and greatest flavor experience Fenn Valley has created. Exhibit A: I tried Meritage a couple times years ago, wasn't a fan. Today, Wendy, Deb and Linda had me try the latest version and I LOVED it. Now my only problem is I don't have enough hours in the day to drink all the wine I'd like to.......Thank you, Fenn Valley!!!!!

The Saugatuck Dune Rides is a popular tourist attraction in Saugatuck, operating since the 1950s. Its rugged off-road trails offer visitors great views of lakeshore dunes, trees and grasses. The drivers are knowledgeable and provide interesting historical facts about the area during their tours. The ride lasts around 45 minutes but seems to go by quickly due to its fun nature.

This experience is pretty awesome. Nate was our tour guide/driver and he was super funny and energetic which we loved. It seems to go by so fast but it was 45 minutes. I wish I was out there longer, it went by fast but so much fun. Nice views, and good time. I would recommend checking this adventure out. Thanks Nate for making it awesome. They seem to always be sold out so act quickly!

Tiff Lara — Google review

We had an absolute great time! Our driver Bernie was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The ride was fun and the dunes were awesome!! I would recommend getting a time slot in advance online. The slots fill up fast.

Jen Smith — Google review

Oh this was so much fun. You can buy in advance. They do accept walk ins, which is what we did. We were able to walk in and be loaded on the buggy for the very next ride, in fifteen minutes. The driver Gary was hilarious. He made the adventure so much better with his commentary. I highly recommend this and I'll definitely be back with different humans.

Iconic attraction for locals and natives, operating since the 1950s, the dune rides are a highlight attraction in Saugatuck. Great guides, beautiful trails and fun history. Bonus: super interesting to fly over and see the trail, check it out on your next flight.

This is an absolute must do activity for anyone visiting the area! We brought our two daughters with us, ages 5 and 2, and they both had an excellent time. Our tour guide did a great job of keeping everyone entertained as well as being very informative about the local area. You learn quite a bit about the local environment and history while also having a blast shooting around in an open aired buggy on the dunes. Definitely reserve tickets ahead of time if you can, they sell out quickly!

Sam Sachs — Google review

Great experience! Our driver was so nice and knowledgeable about the area. The ride wasn’t super bumpy, and good for any age. The ride did go a lot faster than I thought it would, which I was happy about. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Brianna Obringer — Google review

Our driver was Frosty, and he was so much fun and so funny. Frosty knew his stuff and had a lot of fun with his job. He was a real joy to be around, and the history he taught us was really interesting. We supposedly maxed out at 25/30 mph, but it felt a lot faster, especially going around the curves.

uncomfortablespaghetti — Google review

We had a great ride with this outfit. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about the history and subsequent creation of these sand dunes. Bernie was our supee guide that gave us a drive of our lives. He starts off and shows his reverse driving abilities without being on the seat . His fun jokes rival those of the Disneyland Jungle cruise and could easily start his own show. He intertwined that with speed cruising through the sands that only a Nascar driver could handle . I also need to mention his knowledge and history of the area and the affect of civilization in the 1900's created this dunes.I would recommend you go here and enjoy the ride. My only complaint really is that it was longer . Hated to go.Thanks for a great time.

Rick Barboza — Google review

I highly recommend doing this ride. It’s not an all day thing so not a huge time commitment. Our guide was very informative on the development, history, and ecology of the dunes. Nice scenic views. Fun experience. Worth the price of the ticket.

cheryl nill — Google review

Our driver, Ian, was terrific. We had a blast. Very informative, and the best rollercoaster like fun around the dunes that buried the old logging town of Singapore.

Alan Burton — Google review

We went on the dune ride in the afternoon and had a blast. Our driver was Nate. He was both knowledgeable and hilarious. We had a group of five little girls on our trip with their moms, and Nate kept including the girls by name, and joking with them, making them feel comfortable. You’ll stop for about 10 minutes to get out and walk around. Nate gladly took pictures of us…and included himself in one 🤣…then off you go again. It was so enjoyable, we wanted to go again!

Megan Myers — Google review

We had an absolute blast on the dune ride with our driver Paul! Not only did he navigate the dunes expertly, but his knowledge of the area was impressive, and he answered all our questions with enthusiasm. He had a great sense of humor, and his corny jokes kept the ride entertaining throughout. There were also several stops at places so we could enjoy the beautiful scenery. The view at the top of the tallest dune was of Lake Michigan and the surrounding area. It was gorgeous! We would definitely recommend this experience to our friends and family.

Kellie — Google review

Fantastic experience. Great fun cruising along the tracks, sliding just a little bit around the curves. The driver was very knowledgeable and his jokes were so bad that they were pretty fantastic.Definitely recommend taking this ride at least once.

So much fun!! Good American family fun. Our driver, Michael, was great and very funny. Really enjoyed the forest part of the drive and allHis jokes. Definitely worth a try when I’m Saugatuck. We booked online a couple days in advance- seems to sell out quickly!

Stephanie Polakowski — Google review

When I read that it was a 40-45 minute ride I was guessing was going to be in this big vehicle going slow and no excitement but I was wrong. The driver was great. I did not think about stops in the ride for a couple great scenic overlooks, or some strange stops at props with cheesy stories and jokes but also included some very interesting stories on history. This place us an hour from home and never been here before, but would go again. Trip started to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and my 55th birthday. This is a gem that have missed out on for long time and now want to share with grandkids

David Barricklow — Google review

This was one of my favorite parts about our trip to Saugatuck. Booking online took less than 5 minutes. We got there 10 minutes before our ride time and signed a waiver and waited. Lots of seating while you wait. Johnny was our tour guide and was so nice and knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend!

The Holland State Park - Macatawa Campground is a popular spot for visitors to West Michigan. The campground has paved bike trails with views of the sunset and offers shopping opportunities for souvenirs. A highlight of the area is the iconic Big Red lighthouse, which provides a stunning view of Lake Michigan and the sand dunes. While the campground may be tight quarters and primarily geared towards RVs, it does offer amenities such as bathrooms and showers in the center of the grounds.

The beach and campground make this the most popular park in the state! Google says this about the park: “Nearly two million people flock to the park every year, making it one of the most visited state parks in Michigan. The public recreation area, which spans 142 acres, has an array of activities and amenities for visitors. (Mar 6, 2023)” Don’t give up on your summer plans though. There are many more state parks up and down the Lake Michigan shoreline. Warren Dunes (to the south) and Grand Haven (north). The State of Michigan spends a lot on upkeep of its parks so, no matter which one you stay at, you’re likely going to enjoy your time.

Dan Maly — Google review

Beautiful place to take a meditative walk in the winter. Summers are for crowd lovers only. Easy flat access to beach from parking. Down the road at Tunnel Park there is a very steep decline to traverse to access the beach from the parking area.

Jill Gietzen — Google review

Beautiful State park with a pier and lighthouse, nice sand dunes and beautiful long grasses cover the dunes, has a large bathroom area and changing rooms and outdoor showers, an area to watch the boats go in and out of Lake Michigan and two walking paths to help you get all of your gear out to the beach. There is a small kids park with swings and volleyball nets. Been coming here for 35 years and I still love it!

Jennifer M (Jen) — Google review

Beautiful beach. We only spent about an hour there. Being springtime we didn't go in the water but we would like to return in the summer to visit.

Tony Smith — Google review

We camped in the beach campground and had a phenomenal time. Everything was neat and tidy. The beach was 4 campsites down from ours, providing beautiful Lake Michigan Sunsets! The modern bathrooms and showers were well kept and clean. The camp host this weekend was super nice. We had a lovely time.

Plenty of parking and easy access down to the Lake from here.Lots of ice along the waterfront, so weren’t able to get too close, but it’s beautiful seeing the Lake in an icy clutch.Facilities are closed in the winter so do be prepared, and the pier is closed due to ice, but a beautiful spot.

Nice park with a fantastic location, and one of the two bath houses is really nice. The west bath house could definitely use an update, and some of the sites are a bit unlevel, so pay attention when booking for a large RV. We had an asphalt pad and still need all of our leveling wedges to get it right. Still worth visiting this park despite the few shortcomings.

Clean rooms and nice people run it.Great location. The outside needs work, but looks like it is being worked on. There is no pool or mini golf, but if you are just looking for an inexpensive place to stay, this is an option. There is a decent restaurant in the lot ,a bar and an antique store. Small fridge in the room and microwave in a common room.

Kathleen Heutele — Google review

Nice state park with views, piers and a beach. The dunes were great. There is a lighthouse called "Big Red" right across the inlet you can get pictures of. We didn't stay long but enjoyed the visit.

Tyler Dixon — Google review

Great trail on the shorter side. Can be steep at the beginning and end but other than that, it's a nice hike with a lovely view of lake Michigan, the red lighthouse and the sand dunes. The campground itself is pretty tight quarters. Not many trees, so I wouldn't count on using hammocks. It seems like primarily an rv park.It does have bathrooms and showers in the center of the campground.

TryItWithRanch — Google review

Campground is a parking lot but right at the beach. No fire pits but you can bring your own. Family friendly. Verizon service decent. You have to pay to park still even with reservation

Bryan Nagode — Google review

If you like the beach, especially if you've never been to a freshwater coast, this is a great place to start. It offers a little something for everyone. There is a nice beach that is kept very clean.

Ada Kennedy — Google review

We enjoyed being close to the beach. Our E-bikes were perfect on the many bike paths around the area. Our hike had a beautiful Overlook as a reward, Our campsite was nice, but was next to the main road for the beach. Noisy motor heads had the only disappoint. Nice two day stay.

Irv Rutan — Google review

Location, location, location! For reference, my husband & I stayed 4 nights in July 2023 in our 40 ft motorhome. The park is in a premium location and walking/biking distance to the beach, restaurants & shopping. We rented bikes from Oak Grove Campground for 2 days and loved riding around the beautiful town. The big red lighthouse is a short walk from the park and a great place to watch the sunset. The sites are decently spaced apart and level. If you’re lucky enough, they have some full hookup sites. We were in corner spot #159 (50 amp hookup only). Things to know: cell service was good, there are a lot of tent campers and families with small kids, the park is strict on their noise policy and does night patrols. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend this campground.

Jacquelyn G. — Google review

Ok, let me get this out of the way. The check-in process was a nightmare. You weren’t allowed to check in before 3pm and we unfortunately arrived at 2 so we were made to wait. We decided to wander for an hour since we couldn’t wait in the parking lot. Returned at 3 and the line to get in was unbelievable. It took over half an hour.Anyway, the campground was great. Bathrooms and shower rooms were fantastic. Very clean and taken care of. The sites were a bit close together but actually it was surprisingly quiet. Once we saw how packed it was we thought it was going to be a mess, but we had a very nice stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Regan Leamy — Google review

Great campground with a short drive to the beach, which is beautiful!I did want to mention one thing that affected our "camping party"; we had read you could check in early if your campsite was vacant.**This is not true anymore** at this campground in Holland Michigan anyway.*Check in is at 3. No exceptions - even if your site is free.

Amy Bruck — Google review

This is a state park in Lake Michigan. They have 2 piers you can walk out on when the water is acting up. It was closed the day I went. The wind was blowing and the waves were coming in nice. The park was nice though we really only saw the beach and pier area. They have a cool lighthouse and a plaque explaining the history of the lighthouse. The park seemed well kept and clean and the scenery was awesome. There was a playground area for the kids. If you like being outside, around the water and beach, this was a beautiful place to visit. I would recommend going and checking it out if you are in the area. It would be amazing in the summer for summer fun too.

Jeremy Stockdall — Google review

We saw people surfing 🏄‍♀️ 🌊 and it was 40°F and windy. Wow. The restrooms are still closed. (They will open on summer). There is a playground on sand.

Nidia O'D — Google review

Great location- the lake is across the road from the campground. Close to Holland which is unique with windmills, etc. Lake Michigan was a 4 min. drive. Campground does not have full hookups, which would definitely be a plus.

Lucy Burkholder — Google review

Nice State Park campground. We stayed in the wooded half, not the beach. There were nice shade trees over half the campground and the bathroom and showers in that half was very nice! They were holding a Halloween event with campsite decorating contest, coffee and donuts, and trick or treating for the kids, also. There is a LOT of road noise audible in the campground, so it's not the quietest option.

Mikki Fullerton — Google review

We stopped long enough to get pictures of Big Red. Unfortunately Google had taken us in the wrong way so we weren't able to see the front view of the lighthouse. Beautiful area, though.

Elaine — Google review

Sites were pretty wooded, and shaded. Beach sites were close but not crowded and had easy beach access. The beach, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Water was warm, it was all sand, and super shallow. Even like 25 feet away from shore and it was maybe 4 feet deep. All time favorite Michigan beach.

Located in downtown Holland, Windmill Island Gardens features tulip gardens from all over the world, a 250-year-old windmill, a carousel, and Dutch-costumed guides. The gardens are open to the public and cost $12 per person. There is also a gift shop and food available.

What a lovely stop! I loved the conservatory and also learning so much about the windmill and its rich history. Though I was looking forward to buying some of the local flour, I understand how COVID's impact made that impossible. Just being able to climb up inside it was amazing! All of the staff we spoke to were friendly and eager to share their knowledge. It was still chilly for our visit (so not everything was in bloom) but there was plenty to see.

Stephy Miehle — Google review

This was more enjoyable than I had originally thought. The flowers were beautiful. Can't even imagine what it would look like when the tulips are in bloom. The gift ship was small and quaint and the carousel was being enjoyed by kids. The outdoor organ was fun. I even saw a few teens dancing and having fun being silly. That was really nice. The windmill was beautiful and going inside to hear the history from one of the employees was worth it.

Windmill island gardens**Stop! Are you looking for the famous Tulip Garden? This is it.**Our first time coming here. Not how I envision it but good. People glorify the images but in reality it’s a tame environment. I was expecting a magnificent display of tulips all over. In reality, they are planted in sections and in limited quantities. The windmill is huge! The area is surround by a small stream which must be used for watering the tulips. The bathrooms are located in the main building which is nice. No outhouses or porta potty. No need for extra smells to ruin the smell of tulips. They do have ONE food stand which serves a decent amount of different foods.I strongly suggest you come before the festival, because when it arrives, there is basically no parking spot available.Come and enjoy the tulips.Highly recommended

Kalvin Hang — Google review

This is a beautiful place to come and stroll, they have a marsh with all kinds of wildlife. The windmill is very fascinating to tour, the historic street organ was beautiful, just to see this historic gem and to see the inside and how it works was amazing and a wonderful learning experience. They have gift shops and a carousel that gives free rides every hour. I enjoyed my walk through this Netherlandish replica. I loved the women walking around in classic Dutch clothing and shoes. I recommend everyone take their family at least one time. You don’t have to go during the tulip festival I believe it’s something you can do all year round.

Helena Boulding — Google review

Stopped here for a quick visit on an RV trip. Beautiful grounds, lovely windmill, and enthusiastic staff who are eager to engage and teach about Dutch culture and the grinding process of the windmill. The gardens were well manicured and gorgeous. Kids enjoyed the carousel which runs every 30 min at no additional fee. The only downside was for as much as it cost to get in there wasn’t much to do except see the windmill, organ, and carousel. Was still worth the visit just thought it was a bit overpriced.

Kendra — Google review

This place was beautiful. Workers were dressed up in authentic Dutch clothing and were very friendly and helpful, answering all the questions that I had. There are so many things to see and do. It would be best to come early May when all the tulip fields are in bloom. Everything was so well taken care of and just breathtaking. I will be bringing the rest of my family back to check this area out again.

Shaun Rogers — Google review

Great place to just walk around. We came to see the Tulips. We climbed up inside the windmill. It is an interesting museum and garden. It's worth the price, because of the amount of time and work it must take to take care of this place.

Jim Sinclair — Google review

I was really excited to come here. We live 3 hours away. I looked up the best time to see the tulips and I found tulip festival is the best time. So we planned and drove 3 hours here. Then, we sat in traffic forever, only to finally get to the entrance just to see the parking lot is closed, and then we finally found parking downtown. Walk all the way up just to be told there is an hour wait to get tickets. So we wait to get tickets. Come in to overcrowded Park, and the flowers were mostly half dead. And if there were okay ones, there was a mob of people everywhere. I exepted fields of flowers, but in reality, it was only 4. I feel like the festival should have started sooner before all the flowers died. If the flowers looked good, it would have been all worth it.

EB — Google review

Great place to visit! Amazing tulips! Open to the public. $12 per person. Gift shop, and food available. Great opportunity to see the tulips that you can order for home. Nice easy hole around tulip fields. Windmill was accessible.

Brian Sawa — Google review

Lovely place to visit, especially if you enjoy history, windmills and/or tulips. I went when they were having an autumn craft event, which made it pretty lively. The Dutch village itself is very cool even when there's not an event going on. The windmill is worth checking out to see how grains used to be processed (and all of the instruments of grain torture...). The windmill was only open Thurs-Sat when I visited so definitely double-check before going if you want to see the inside and get a bird's eye view of the gardens.

Marie Reed — Google review

The staff there are so friendly and are eager to tell you all about the place. The gardens are beautiful and the windmill is great to go up in and see. We enjoyed it! The gift shop is really nice as well!

Beth Dawson — Google review

Such a beautiful place and the staff are so friendly! They have horses, tons of flowers all over. The river next to it is relaxing! You can get married here, see a street organ! Definitely a place to stop. Also, try their cheese!

Lacey Hutchinson — Google review

The tulips were stunning. It was wildly windy so when we made it to the top of the windmill the outdoor observation area was closed, but safety. Lots of fun facts around the park, tons of photo ops and a great selection in the gift shop.

Marianne C — Google review

Still open in winter technically, but obviously all the attractions are closed, but you can get access and walk around. Fun little romantic spot to come that is very isolated, no doubt it is heaving during tourist season.

Philip Ball — Google review

I had a good time here. I do wish there were bigger fields of tulips like in the Netherlands! I thought the workers in the windmill were adorable and very informative. I went on a beautiful day and did not regret my time spent. It cost $12 to get in and they had a food truck to purchase food and a gift shop. I probably missed a few things to do but I’m sure those were fun as well.

Gabrielle Anderson — Google review

Not what the photos will promised you. So here's some angles to show you the actual state of this location. It's few patches of Tulips with more weeds than the flowers and Tulip plants which grew barely a feet heigh. We went at the peak of the season (May 4th Saturday) and the first to enter the park, so none of the plants were run down by the crowd yet. But still it was worse than you think. Can you take an impressive photo with a Windmill at the back if you place the camera just at the right angle? Yes. Would you be impressed by the location, at all? No. So if you happen to drive through Holland, MI and need to stop for some reason, do visit this place. But please don't waste your time to drive hours to see a Tulip Garden. You won't. I was sad about the miles of people queuing up to enter the garden when we were leaving. Cherry on top was the run down Macatawa River with dead weed and barely any water. This is definitely the "Poor Man's version of Tulip Festival in Netherlands". And not worth a drive. Not recommended.

Chanaka Hettige — Google review

It was a beautiful place to be for a day trip. We went on May 10 when the tulips were in full bloom and enjoyed a lot. There were lots of tulips of different colors. It was a bit crowded though but that was okay. There are a few parking lots with enough space and that shouldn’t be a problem at all. Parking is free. There is a 12 dollar admission fee for one person and no discount for students. I would say 12 dollars was worth it for us because we haven’t seen that many tulips ever. There are two restaurants with few food options and ice cream. The prices are reasonable. There is a big shop to buy garments, arts and show pieces of different kinds. The wooden boots were unique because I haven’t seen them anywhere before. I would recommend the place to visit in the right time.

Imrul Kayes Shuvo — Google review

Nice tulip garden. Must visit for tulip season 🌷🌹.. 9 to 5.30 entry $12 for adults and $5 for kids. If you go after 5.30 it's free to enter till 7pm

Bhavani Ananthan — Google review

When we arrived around 11 a.m., the main entrance was closed because the parking lot was full, so we had to find parking elsewhere. By the time we found parking and walked about 15 minutes, the entrance was open again. It was a long walk pushing a stroller. Seems like we missed the peak time for the flowers, but they were still very nice. Restrooms are available right after you pay and enter. The entrance cost was $12/adult. There are limited food options. Three lunches (hamburgers, Italian sausage, fries, and drinks) were $42. A small deli style sandwich was $8. Arriving a little earlier or later may get you into the main parking lot.

Michael Johnson — Google review

Magic at the Mill Christmas event. Thought it was worth the $10 fee. The light show set to music was pretty cool to resemble dancing tulips. Good event for all ages that can walk 1/4 mile. Tent with hot chocolate and snacks available. Must buy tickets online in advance, no tickets at location.

S Root — Google review

Visited a week before the tulip time festival. Perfect time to avoid larger crowds and most of the flowers were already in full bloom. Not the biggest tulip farm in the area but worth it for a short stop. You can check out the view from the top of the windmill, browse in the cute shops and of course walk through rows of colorful tulips. Great place for pics especially around tulip time.

Nelis' Dutch Village is a themed amusem*nt park celebrating the Netherlands with a wooden shoe factory, cheese-making and petting zoo. The village features intricate Dutch architecture from the 1800s, canals and tulip gardens. There are also Klompen dancers and music from the Amsterdam Street Organ in the village's shops. The Holiday Inn Express is minutes away for great amenities like a Fitness Center, pool and sports court.

Great experience. Just opened for the season (April 24), and things will definitely run smoother through through season. The presentations are what really give the full adventure. Wood shoe making, cheese making, butter churning, school house, and of course Dutch dancing. Try every flavor of cheese and every flavor of fudge.Ice cream shop and a pub with good (slightly overpriced, as expected) food. Indoor and outdoor seating for both. There are also a few rides and a couple different playgrounds, the kids will definitely be entertained. Bathrooms (either porta-potty or indoors) leave a little to be desired, but aren't the worst ever.

It’s a must visit place accordingly to me if you are visiting Holland MI. Kids will love this place. My daughter simply loves this place.Pros:* Decent entry fees(They provided free pass for the next visit too as we entered the village 3 hours before the closing time)* Unlimited rides* kids friendly. You can say it’s a paradise for kids.* So many activities to do.* Dutch style buildings and staff with Dutch costumes give you pure Dutch feel.

Dutch Village is a step back in time. You can be weighed to see if you are a witch. You can buy a whole cheese wheel. You can ride a vintage Ferris Wheel. You can learn to Dutch dance. You can walk a goat. You can go inside a chicken coop with the birds.Dutch village is amazing for everyone in your group. The young, the old, the in between - everyone finds something they love.On Special weekends you may find a Queens Party, a Pirate Festival, a Renaissance weekend… you never know what you might see.

We visited 2 years ago and def see a huge improvement in all the buildings and overall park. There’s more fun things for the kids to do!We loved the petting farm specially the chickens🫶🏻.You have to try the freshly made Wafers next to the fudge store. We appreciate all the costumes, the dancing show and all the hard work from each and every person that works here.Coming to this place has become a tradition now!

Fun but definitely tourist-y destination in Holland exploring the area's Dutch roots and ancestry. Lots of fun activities, exhibits, dances, and animals for little ones to play with and enjoy. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who love showing off their exhibits. Very walkable and a great place to spend an afternoon.

Christopher Btine — Google review

We had a wonderful visit at Dutch village. Our children are 8,6, and 2 and they really enjoyed themselves. They liked the rides, and I liked taking pictures of flowers! I appreciated that the food wasn’t wildly overpriced. Overall, a nice visit.

Fun experience! Only place we could find with parking for Tulip Time. Tried to go to Windmill island gardens twice this same day, but the lot was full both times. We enjoyed the tulips and decorations. There were free cheese samples out at the cheese store. There are several rides that adults can ride, but it looked like they were mostly for kids. The petting zoo was fun. Animal food cones were a $1. We enjoyed the Dutch dancing. Staff were friendly. Would recommend.

Elizabeth Dawes — Google review

I took my family here, it was the 1st time visiting and it was wonderful. All the stuff there is to do and learn is great, but I think the best part is the workers who truly seem to enjoy their jobs and were very friendly, very educational, and took the time to answer any of our questions.

Jaime — Google review

This place is perfect for a fun, educational visit, and it's great for all ages! Price is reasonable, and you get to learn about wooden shoes, how to make cheese, watch a traditional dance, etc. There's a fun place area for the younger kids, a petting zoo, carousel, ferris wheel. Definitely recommend!

Cynthia — Google review

This place is very rich in history. This is a really cool place for kids to go and see the history of Dutch settling in Holand MI. It has a couple of carousel playgrounds, animals trying on of the wooden shoes and how they are made. They have lots of exhibits on how thing were made, period correct clothing and much more. I would recommend taking your younger kids here.

Nice place to enjoy with family. Especially for children’s . So many activities ,rides. If you are planning a trip is better to buy tickets online. (Online $16) otherwise $18per head. Also you can enjoy the Dutch dance performance as well as lessons.

Our family and us hung out there and spent the day. We have kids so this was perfect place for them to do and learn. Not badly priced too. Each kid got a waffle and hot chocolate and we made memories. Over all I would say it was a decent value for the money especially now they've expanded. Way improved.

R.a. Wheeler — Google review

A group of 23 of us took a day trip and came to the Dutch Village in Holland, Michigan. Many of the tulips are gone,, But we still had shopping, coffee shops, rides on the ferris wheel and other rides, and we all watched the last dance performance by a group of dancers depicting Dutch dancing. Some of our group even participated in one of the dances! That was fun to watch. A great day at the Dutch Village! Thank you, Dutch Village for your friendliness and kindness! Enjoyable day!!

RuthAnn Brunsting — Google review

My family attended Dutch village on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy. We bought our tickets online which came to $15 a person, 3 and under are free, if you buy them there its $17 a person. My daughter was able to ride all the rides at 40in tall. It Looked like you had to be around 32-34in tall to be able to ride. The animals were our favorite part. They were so lovable and wanted all the attention. You could interact with them, which was nice. I recommend going. We were there for around 4 hours.

Marie Krueger — Google review

This is a really cute, quaint, local "theme park" located within Holland. It is set up to look like a mini-Netherlands, with lots of lessons and activities available to entertain a variety of audiences, especially children. Having been to Amsterdam before, there were a couple of moments when I found myself being reminded of that part of the world as we explored this park. The people that work here are very warm and friendly, and they work hard to maintain the park's overall theme. This park is a great place to visit if you are on a field trip, or if you are visiting with family that has (younger) kiddos!

Katy Z Dead — Google review

I didn’t have much expectation before going. We all ended up enjoying couple hours there. It’s a small park. They set up many ‘shows’ - dancing , clogs making, staff explaining in individual building. I leant much more the Dutch culture here than my previous trips in the actual Holland. There are many old machines, displays which are well kept. All staff are friendly and are passionate sharing their knowledge with us. Although the rides are more for young kids , my 10-year old said the park is the highlight of our visit in this town. Definitely recommend this place to any family’s travellers.

Beautiful little slice of Holland. Good food, especially cheeses. Great entertainment for the kids. The young staff there really put their heart into their roles. Thoroughly enjoyed visiting. Don’t miss the Klompendans dancers!

Dutch village is very nice place to get familiar with old life style of Dutch people. A lot to see and specials are the dance and kids play stations 🚉. Staff are very cooperative, when we were at this village it suddenly started raining and becoming dark. They started to close all outlets but we couldn’t move our since we had less than six month kid in the rain, so they arranged jackets and umbrellas ☔️ for us to move to safe place into restaurant. It needs atleast a day to go through entire village so keep time n make entry.

While we were in Holland, Michigan, we discovered Nelis’ Dutch Village. We explored the store and the gardens, both of which are fantastic places. Being a photographer, I take photos everywhere I go, and this trip was no exception. I always start taking photos on the road to our destination, capturing the journey as well as the destination. Once we arrived, I continued to photograph everything. Holland is a very charming town with wonderful shops, and Nelis’ Dutch Village is certainly a highlight.

Ignacio Alvarez — Google review

We purchased a dozen tickets for our family and visited the village for about four hours. It's the perfect place to visit if you have young kids under the age of 10.After the entry fee, your kids can try the rides as much as they like. They have areas where you can sample 24 flavors of cheeses or over a dozen flavors of fudge. The cheeses and fudge are great hits and you can tell that they are made fresh. There is also a "petting zoo" where you can hold chickens and pet some bunnies. I think this place is a must-stop if you are visiting the area. 5/5

Millennium Park is a large urban park that is located in several different locations around western Michigan. It has many different paths for hikers and also features a beach and wetlands. It is a great place to go for a swim, hike, or cross country ski in the winter.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon with a 3 and 5 year old and it was a great experience. Playgrounds near the parking lot are free and then an entrance fee for the beach and splash pad area. The fee was completely worth it, the beach is well maintained, the sand is soft, not many rocks. It wasn't even very crowded. You can rent flotation devices, bring in coolers (no alcohol), and the bathrooms are large, clean, and offer large shower stalls. You can also purchase food for a reasonable price, including items like: snow cones, pizza by the slice, bratwurst, and pretzels. You can also rent paddle boats, etc. The splash pad had freezing cold water but the kids loved it, very spacious and lots of space for adults to stand/sit. The pavilions are rentable and would be perfect for any party.Overall: 5/5 and makes for a memorable and fun experience.

January 2022. I have been on the bike trails at Milennium Park in the summer, but walking on them in the winter was a new experience. The weather was beautiful (although it was cold -- this is Michigan, so what do you expect?). There is some parking available at the entrances to the east and west of Maynard Ave. Beware of walking on icy paths. Overall, a good time if you dress appropriately for the weather. The attached photos are all on the eastern half of the park (entered near the Grant Pavilion).

LOVE. Get the membership, it'll be worth it in a few visits. Otherwise, just roam around and visit with nature. So beautiful and fun for the kiddos in the summer. Always clean, staff is always friendly and helpful.

A spacious park that has something for everyone, if you enjoy the great outdoors, then this park is for you. Hiking, fishing, basketball, beach , playgrounds are just a handful of things to do.

Beautiful loooong walk through this park. Great beach and easy access/clean public restrooms. Some stretches of the walk have no trash cans. On the other hand, very clean and well maintained, no litter in sight. Maybe more bins come summer time. 10/10 stop by if in GR area

Crystal D'Andrea — Google review

Amazing park for both walking and biking. Plenty of different trail options based on how far you want to go. Many completely paved options as well as some gravel/dirt paths through the woods. There is a foot bridge you can take to get across the road to “the meadow” side. We did 6 miles on the bikes and barely scratched the surface of what is available. We will definitely be going back for more!

Jessica Walker — Google review

Haven't used too many of the facilities but Briar loves to walk the trails around the lakes. The splash pad and Beach area seem well maintained and they even have a 'ninja warrior' style course for the little humans to enjoy. I would like it a bit better though if I didn't have to see Secchia and DeVos' names plastered all over the place. Those crooks have ruined more human and animal lives than could ever be compensated for with donations to a city park.

Michael Kohl — Google review

Visited this place during a business trip to relax and enjoy nature. Place is well cleaned and it’s pretty big. I didn’t explore the “beach” area as my interest was to get just away from the city. Lakes seems full of fish and life, so many water activities to do…. Most of the trails or paths I walked on where blacktop which is nice for anyone cycling, wheelchairs or strollers. Here’s some pics from the place

We love millennium Park for its trails! There is aot of wildlife. We went for 45 minutes last night and saw a groundhog, lots of fish, birds and a (dead) snake. My husband was very grateful it wasn't the live kind.I wish the trails weren't so bumpy! They always seem to have a plethora of bumps which is why we did 4 stars. We don't use the splash pad or swimming area because it's too expensive.

Millennium Park- divided into halves east and west of Maynard Road- is one of the most expansive urban parks and greenway networks in the country. It's a great place to enjoy each of Michigan's for distinct seasons; winter offers sledding, snowshoeing, and XC skiing. Spring brings migratory birding and flower blooms gives way to a summer of fishing, kayaking, or mountain biking, cycling, running and walking its dozens of miles of trails. Come fall, the colorful leaves of predominantly maple, birch, and poplar forests creates a photogenic backdrop for sunsets and wildlife.Go see it for yourself!

It's been years since visiting Millenium park, but I'm very glad we went. We biked between 5 and 10 miles, and enjoyed the scenery, terrain and the size of the park. We plan to bike there again when the leaves start changing colors.

Great place to get out and spend some time in the sunshine. Many paved trails as well as unpaved trails for you and / or your furry friends to enjoy the great outdoors. Lots of water for them to swim and play in as well. There's also a bald eagle nest you can see from one of the main trails. Just remember the fish and wildlife service requires you to stay at least 330 feet from any active nest. Lots of wildlife and place to roam alone. Excellent views and runs alongside the grand river.

No handicap accessible nothing!!Handicap parking is limited and sad and far away from entrance gate!Handicapped and couldn't get my walker through the beach to the water . $4/person and I didn't (I wanted to soak my sore body) get to the water!!POORLY!!!! Designed to accommodate the physically handicapped.,Ps...and in my opinion there SHOULD also be exit only gates somewhere in all the institutionalized fencing!!Having to go all the way back to the entrance is alot of effort for physically. HANDICAPped!!!!!

I came here for the first time not so long ago. The pictures don't do the park justice. Beautiful scenery, and trails offer beautiful views as well. I would recommend this park to all looking for fun trails to visit or exercise on.
