Soon the ghost with the most will scare up three eerily distinct popcorn buckets for fans to collect when director Tim Burton's long-awaited Beetlejuice Beetlejuice hits theaters this September. And in addition, Regal Cinemas also announces that special early screenings of the highly anticipated Michael Keaton and Jenna Ortega-led horror comedy will be held on Wednesday, September 4. And while their cool collectible containers might not be quite as controversial as the Dune: Part Two or Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn buckets, Regal is honoring the Beetlejuice legacy with film-specific items all the same.
“Rest in popcorn. The #Beetlejuice #Beetlejuice Tombstone Collectible Container is coming to Regal.” This first popcorn bucket (above) pays homage to the miniature town display located in the attic of the Deetz’s haunted house in the original Beetlejuice (1988).

“A strange and unusual place to put your popcorn. The Handbook for the Recently Deceased Container is coming to Regal for #Beetlejuice #Beetlejuice” is shown (below). The otherworldly user’s manual from the film was used to exploit the ghostly Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) in the movie’s third act. But just wait until cinephiles get a load of Regal’s third popcorn bucket, which is perhaps the most exciting as it recaptures the magic of the giant sandworm from Beetlejuice.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Sandworm Popcorn Bucket, Early Screenings Revealed
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice "wasn’t easy to pull off," according to star Michael Keaton, but fans have been anxiously waiting over 35 years for the ghost with the most to return to the big screen. And Regal is celebrating with not one, not two, but three collectible containers. And the last (pictured below) is a twisted — quite literally — take on the famed sandworm: “Popcorn bucket 📔 Popcorn bucket 🪦 Popcorn bucket 🪱 Summon them from your local theatre soon.”
The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice trailers unveil the return of not only Keaton, but both fan-favorites Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara, who will reprise their roles as Lydia and Delia respectively in the sequel. And fans can check out the Beetlejuice sequel a full two days before it drops in theaters, courtesy of Regal Cinemas. Check out the special announcement below:
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice can be seen on Wednesday, September 4 at 7 p.m. at Regal Cinemas across the country. And for those fans who adore the 1988 original, find out why the sequel rekindled Tim Burton’s own love affair with the movie industry, particularly thanks to one OG character right now. Burton elaborated in an interview with Empire magazine:
"I actually had sort of lost interest in the movie industry. I felt like I’d had enough with studios. I’d had enough of all this kind of stuff […] Sometimes, as you get older, you lose yourself a little bit. That’s very much how I feel, and felt. You go down a path – for me, I started making movies. I make some good ones, I make some bad. You take a journey.
So, that’s what made this more of an important and personal thing for me, all those feelings. You have relationships that change you. You have kids that change you. After all these years, that became the reason to make it. I identified with Lydia back then, and I identify with her now."
