Overlord is a powerful Pet DPS Build that relies on an army of Pets to deal damage, draw aggro and heal you while clearing Solo and Group content in The Elder Scrolls Online. The build offers various setups that can help you clear both solo and group content, which makes it a flexible but strong option for PVE gameplay. The idea of Overlord is to summon as many Pets as possible to deal damage and defeat enemies while you assist them with Strong Sorcerer Skills! Magicka Sorcerer DPS Pet Build Setup

Overlord is a powerful Staff Magicka Sorcerer PVE Build that can summon several Pets with its skills and Armor Sets! The Build also offers various setups for different levels of difficulty. Depending on the content you wish to complete you should change your gear based on the recommendations below!

Trials Group DPS

This setup is for dedicated group gameplay, is using harder to find Trial gear and aims to help you achieve the best damage possible! Pillar of Nirn and Whorl of the Depths are the two Core Sets of the Build. Two powerful AOE Sets that can deal massive Bleed and Frost Damage to enemies. To further boost your Damage combine them with one piece of Slimecraw Monster Set and the amazing Harpooner’s Wading Kilt Mythic Set. To complete the setup use Crushing Wall on your back bar to further boost damage.

No Trial Gear

The No-Trial Gear setup is meant for easier Solo but also easier Group PVE Gameplay. You can wear this setup if you are planning to play Overland content(Public Dungeons, World Bosses) or clear normal Dungeons. This setup is not strong enough to survive Solo Arenas like the Maelstrom Arena,Vateshran HollowsandInfinite Archive.For this purpose you should use a dedicated Solo PVE Sorcerer Build. To maximize your potential as a Summoner, wear the Maw of the Infernal Monster Set to summon another Pet and the Unleashed Ritualist Set that boosts the damage of your Pets! Order’s Wrath is another amazing Set that lets you create a strong No Trial Gear Setup.

The Skills of the Build summon strong Permanent and Temporary(Ultimate) Pets that can help you defeat enemies and clear content faster. You can also buff their Damage while assisting with your own AOE and Single Target Shock Damage. The Sorcerer Class is the Class of Lightning Damage in ESO! • Force Pulse(Force Shock): Powerful spammable.
• Crystal Fragments(Crystal Shard): A skill with insane burst damage that also helps with sustain.
• Endless Fury(Mages’ Fury): Execute Ability. Use it when the enemy is below 20% Health.
• Summon Volatile Familiar(Summon Unstable Familiar): Strong Pet. Volatile Familiar can DPS and stun enemies with its special ability.
• Summon Twilight Tormentor(Summon Winged Twilight): DPS Pet. When playing solo replace it with the Summon Twilight Matriarch morph as your only self-heal ability.
• Flawless Dawnbreaker(Dawnbreaker): Buffs weapon damage and deals great direct and DOT damage.
• Unstable Wall of Elements(Wall of Elements): Great AOE damage skill.
• Barbed Trap(Trap Beast): Additional DOT damage that also provides a boost to Critical Damage.
• Daedric Prey(Daedric Curse): Boosts the damage of Pets.
• Summon Charged Atronach(Summon Storm Atronach): Primary Ultimate.

Champion Points for Magicka Sorcerer Pet DPS Build ESO

Below you will find the best Champion Points setup for the Build. When allocating Champion points to Slottable and Passive Stars your primary goal is to create paths! Allocate the minimum required points to stars along your path in order to reach your desired Slottable Stars faster. Once you have unlocked all Stars, start allocating more Champion Points to them to fill them out. Focus on Slottable Stars first, then Passive Stars. Warfare

• Slottable Stars: Deadly Aim, Master-at-Arms, Wrathful Strikes, Fighting Finesse
• Passive: Eldritch Insight, Piercing, Flawless Ritual, War Mage, Quick Recovery, Hardy, Elemental Aegis, Preparation, Precision, Blessed, Tireless Discipline

Craft

• Slottable Stars: Rationer, Liquid Efficiency, Master Gatherer, Steed’s Blessing
• Passive: Gilded Fingers, Fortune’s Favor, Wanderer, Steadfast Enchantment, Treasure Hunter(slottable, required for path)

Fitness

• Slottable Stars: Celerity, Fortified, Rejuvenation, Boundless Vitality
• Passive: Sprinter, Hasty, Tireless Guardian, Hero’s Vigor, Mystic Tenacity, Tumbling, Defiance

Food and Potions for Magsorc DPS Build

Clockwork Citrus Filet is the Best Food for the Build while Essence of Spell Power is the best option as Potions.

Race

The Best Race for the Magicka Sorcerer Pet DPS Build in ESO is High Elf. Dark Elf, Khajiit and Breton are nice alternative Races you can use for a DPS focused Build. Any Race with Magicka bonuses can work well though. You can find more about the playable races in my ESO Race Guide!

Vampire or Werewolf

Neither is necessary.

Rotation for Magicka Pet Sorcerer DPS Build ESO

Drink a potion and set your Barbed Trap. Attack with Unstable Wall of Elements, Daedric Prey, switch bars, Summon Volatile Familiar, Summon Twilight Tormentor(in group gameplay and while the enemy’s HP is above 50%), Force Pulse as your spammable. When Crystal Fragments procs and is instant use it immediately. Keep attacking with Force Pulse and reapply the other skills when necessary. When the enemy’s Health drops below 20% start using Endless Fury as your spammable and execute. Use your Ultimate when ready. Heal yourself with Summon Twilight Matriarch when solo. Always Light Attack before every skill or action to boost your damage.

Best Companion for Magicka Sorcerer Pet PVE Build ESO

If you wish to play Solo with the Magicka Sorcerer Pet DPS Build, you can bring along a mighty Companion! Companions in ESO are helpful allies that can assist you in combat. Every Companion can fulfill every role in the game and help you enjoy ESO more by clearing content faster or by simply interacting with them and their charming personality! There are various Builds you can use for every available ESO Companion! As a DPS focused character my recommendation is to bring along a Tank or Healer Companion! A Crafted Set that reduces the cooldown of your Companions abilities, improving their damage and overall effects and assisting you further in combat.

Overlord is a powerful Magicka Sorcerer DPS Build that will allow you to summon a small Pet Army in ESO! With the use of proper Skills and Armor Sets, you can summon up to four Pets in combat. Half of those Pets are permanent and the core of your Build, while the other two can offer valuable assistance in the form of an Ultimate Skill and a Set proc. Overlord relies on Pets to draw aggro, deal damage and even heal you and your group but can also deliver strong Shock damage and assist with DPS!
