Welcome to my Magicka Sorcerer DPS Build for PVE Gameplay in ESO. Thunder is a Hybrid Sorcerer Build, that relies on Shock damage, Pets and Melee abilities to clear content! The goal of the build is to provide a fun, mixed gameplay that can complete almost every PVE content with success. Magicka Sorcerer DPS Build Setup

The Build offers different setups, depending on the difficulty of the content you wish to complete but also the gear you wish to wear! Based on the content you wish to complete you should change your gear based on the recommendations below!

Trials Group DPS

This setup is for dedicated group gameplay, is using Trial gear and it aims to achieve the best damage possible. Arms of RelequenandAegis Callerare the core Sets of the Build. Two powerful DPS Sets that can deal massive damage to single targets but also groups of enemies.One Piece of Slimecrawand theHarpooner’s Wading Kilt Mythic Itemwill boost your DPS even more. FinallyMerciless Chargeis a great Ability Altering Set you can use.Pillar of Nirnis a solid alternative Set you can also use instead of Aegis Caller.

No Trial Gear

TheNo-Trial Gear setupis meant foreasier Solobut also easierGroup PVE Gameplay. You can wear this setup if you are planning to play Overland content(Public Dungeons, World Bosses) or clear normal Dungeons. This setup is not strong enough to survive Solo Arenas like theMaelstrom Arena,Vateshran HollowsandInfinite Archive.For this purpose you should use a dedicatedSolo PVE Sorcerer Build. For a strong No Trial Gear Setup you can replaceRelequenwithOrder’s Wrathand wear a full monster Set likeKjalnar’s Nightmare or Maw of the Infernal.

The build combines powerful Sorcerer and Weapon abilities to deal massive damage and clear content. With assistance from your Pets you can deal good Shock based damage and clear content faster. Crystal Fragments is a Spammable that boosts your damage and overall DPS while Endless Fury is a powerful Execute!

• Crystal Fragments(Crystal Shard): Strong Spammable with insane burst damage that also helps with sustain.
• Endless Fury(Mages’ Fury): Execute Ability. Use it when enemy is below 20% Health.
• Barbed Trap(Trap Beast): Very good DOT damage that also boosts Critical Damage.
• Summon Volatile Familiar(Summon Unstable Familiar): Can DPS and assist in fight.
• Summon Twilight Tormentor(Summon Winged Twilight): DPS Pet. When playing solo replace it with theSummon Twilight Matriarchmorph as your only self-heal ability.
• Flawless Dawnbreaker(Dawnbreaker): Deals damage but also buffs you.
• Stampede(Critical Charge): Powerful AOE damage skill.
• Carve(Cleave): Great Bleed damage skill that applies a shield.
• Daedric Prey(Daedric Curse): Boosts the damage of Pets.
• Summon Charged Atronach(Summon Storm Atronach): Strong Ultimate.

Below you will find the best Champion Points setup for the Build.When allocating Champion points to Slottable and Passive Stars your primary goal is to create paths! Allocate the minimum required points to stars along your path in order to reach your desired Slottable Stars faster.Once you have unlocked all Stars, start allocating more Champion Points to them to fill them out. Warfare

• Slottable Stars: Deadly Aim, Master-at-Arms, Wrathful Strikes, Exploiter
• Passive: Tireless Discipline, Flawless Ritual, War Mage, Piercing, Battle Mastery, Mighty, Quick Recovery, Hardy, Elemental Aegis, Preparation, Precision, Blessed, Eldritch Insight

Craft

• Slottable Stars: Rationer, Liquid Efficiency, Master Gatherer, Steed’s Blessing
• Passive: Gilded Fingers, Fortune’s Favor, Wanderer, Steadfast Enchantment, Treasure Hunter(slottable, required for path)

Fitness

• Slottable Stars: Celerity, Fortified, Rejuvenation, Boundless Vitality

Race

The Best Race for the Magicka Sorcerer DPS Build in ESO is High Elf. Dark Elf, Khajiit and Breton are nice alternative Races you can use for a DPS focused Build. Any Race with Magicka bonuses can work well though. You can find more about the playable races in my ESO Race Guide!

Vampire or Werewolf

Neither is necessary.

Rotation for Magicka Sorcerer Build

Drink a potion, set your Barbed Trap and attack with Stampede, Carve x3, Daedric Prey. Switch bars and continue with Summon Volatile Familiar, Summon Twilight Tormentor(in group gameplay and while the enemy’s HP is above 50%), Crystal Fragments as your spammable. Keep attacking with Crystal Fragments and re cast the other skills when necessary. When the enemy’s Health drops below 20% start using Endless Fury as your spammable but keep casting Crystal Fragments when it procs and is instant. Use your Ultimates when ready and always Light Attack before every skill to boost your damage!

Companion for Magicka Sorcerer DPS Build ESO

If you wish to play Solo with theMagicka Sorcerer Build, you can bring along a mighty Companion! Companions in ESO are helpful allies that can assist you in combat. Every Companion can fulfill every role in the game and help you enjoy ESO more by clearing content faster or by simply interacting with them and their charming personality!
