Thank you for the round up! I look forward to these every year/season :) was this the post where you could find the full menu suggestions? I remember seeing something like that on insta maybe? I swear I saw that and now I can’t find it and I’m wondering if I had a fever dream about it, lol. Christmas and NYE would be great to make those suggested menus too, if you’d be willing/able to. For some reason it’s not showing up for me. I’ve tried using different browsers (Chrome + Safari) in case it was that but nothing.
Ahh! The problem is that this is an older round-up, not this year’s. Here you go: https://minimalistbaker.com/the-ultimate-thanksgiving-recipe-round-up/

everything looks amazing!!! … but those jalapeno cornbread muffins are out of this world. you sure know how to make a thanksgiving grand!
When it comes to the big Thanksgiving feast, we consider the roast turkey and the sweet potato casserole as sides to the STUFFING. A good stuffing makes or breaks Thanksgiving dinner, and this one will absolutely make your holiday meal all the better.
If you're all about fresh flavor and don't want to make too much ahead, do yourself a favor and at least make your appetizers and pies the night before. Desserts like pumpkin pie, pecan pie, or apple pie are actually better baked a day ahead, so their fillings have time to set up for a clean slice.
America's different regions can favor different local cuisines, and Thanksgiving dinner provides no exception. While turkey is the top selection in every region, side-dish challenger mashed potatoes are tied for first place in the Midwest (both winning 85% of matchups) and West (both winning 79%).
I get the stuffing ready the day before. I saute the chopped onions and celery, mix them with the bread cubes, chicken stock, herbs, and seasonings, taste to be sure the seasoning is ok, and then put the stuffing into the greased casseroles. I make the pumpkin and pecan pies the day before as well as the apple pie.
Since it's the main event, the turkey should be the first dish you start cooking in the morning. "The resting process is an absolutely imperative part of the cooking process," Holzman said.
If you don't plan on stuffing the bird, but preparing the dressing as a side dish, you can prepare uncooked stuffing ahead of time as long as you freeze the stuffing immediately after mixing the wet and dry ingredients. USDA recommends that you never refrigerate uncooked stuffing.
You haven't said whether you are going to cook the stuffing inside the bird or out, but it's fine to make almost any stuffing a few hours before you'll need it. The important thing is to keep it properly chilled so that bacteria won't have a chance to grow in it.
How many dishes should I serve with the turkey? For 4 people, choose 1-2 appetizers and 3 sides. For 8 people, choose 1-3 appetizers and 3 sides. For 16 people, choose 2-3 appetizers and 3 or more sides.
There are many reasons, but primarily: Historically, dinner became before supper; it makes for a more relaxed day; it's simply tradition; it's more convenient for traveling guests; and, of course, to watch football.
Cooking and freezing as much as possible now will save you time on turkey day. Clean out your freezer to make room for everything you'll be putting in.
Stuffing. Good stuffing is key to a successful Thanksgiving dinner. At its simplest, stuffing is seasoned bread cubes mixed with onions and herbs. The stuffing is traditionally baked inside the bird but can also be baked in a separate baking dish.
What is the most common Thanksgiving food that Americans will eat on Thanksgiving? Turkey, followed by mashed potatoes, corn, yams, cranberry, peas, pumpkin pie. Other dishes can be included but these are the most common. Also stuffing is common with turkey.
I watched Mayor Mori's ingredients video and the ingredients are manila clams, all colors of pumpkins, scallops, oysters, sea bass, barred knifejaw, mushrooms, dungeoness crab, and depending on your hemisphere you will need sea urchin, red snapper, squid, olive flounder, and dab.
